Re: v5rc10 released

Following up on my bug report (earlier in this thread) of WLAN clients connecting/disconnecting causing my PPPoE session to drop: Despite my Winbox session staying connected during the issue, MikroTik support and I have determined it to be a bridge issue, whereby once the last wireless client discon...

Re: v5rc10 released

Thanks, I know. :)

By the way everyone, as far as the CLI tab completion issue, support informs me they are aware of it and it will be fixed in an upcoming version.

Re: v5rc10 released

I've found some more issue(s): - Disabling a laptop's wireless adapter, sometimes results in all clients disconnecting for the same reason. - Manually enabling/disabling a laptop's wireless adapter OR turning on/off a laptop will, most of the time, disconnect my DSL PPPoE client interface. To rule o...

Re: v5rc10 released

Is anyone else having an issue with CLI tab completion now? I.e., "/ping address[TAB]" ==> "/ping address% " I think it's been like that since the last few RCs; I just forgot to report it.

Re: Feature requests

thanks, much clearer now. No problem. I should mention that some new ideas and votes came in since I posted, and that I've re-sorted the list based on number of votes. So if you're wondering where your idea or vote went, you can search the page with your browser's find function, or check the page h...

Re: WinBox Suggestion2: window->title and window->cascade

As far tiling vertically/horizontally, that sounds like a good idea, but I don't know how well it would work out, with some/most child windows having a fixed minimum width and height.

I believe cascade would work fine though.

Re: WinBox Suggestion: Make Undo/Redo Buttons More Visible

actually, I'm unable to do that on v3.28 and v4.2... but it would be nice feature Really? I could've sworn that was doable at least in some version of 3.x, and maybe even 4.x. when one open a rule in IP -> Firewall -> Filter or NAT and press 'Copy', the request "Do you want commit all the chan...

Re: WinBox Suggestion: Make Undo/Redo Buttons More Visible

I should add that you can no longer highlight text past the bottom of the winbox terminal window (when scrolled up) while highlighting and dragging.

Re: WinBox Suggestion: Make Undo/Redo Buttons More Visible

@mrz: Interesting; I didn't know that. Still, it'd be nice to have it available from the undo/redo buttons, and it seems like half the work is done already. Edit: Just checked out the System -> History window and although it lists the same information as /system history print, there's no way to add ...

Re: WinBox Suggestion: Make Undo/Redo Buttons More Visible

While I'm at it, check out the idea I added to make detailed undo/redo history: Detailed undo/redo history for WinBox --mattx86 10:59, 29 October 2010 (UTC) - What about making the undo/redo buttons act like the back/forward buttons in modern web browsers: you click undo or redo and get a drop-down ...

Re: Feature requests

Er, not without unplugging. I mean when I unplug the cable and plug it back in. On 5.0rc2 on RB532 (mipsle), this is all I get by default (no speed+duplex info logged; only down/up status): /log print ... 10:12:18 interface, info ether3 link down 10:12:22 interface, info ether3 link up If there is a w...

Re: Feature requests

I posted about it in the 5.0rc2 thread, but, it seems its simple in what it logs (up/down status without speed and duplex).

Edit: Actually, would I have to make logging more verbose, perhaps, in order to get speed/duplex logged?

WinBox Suggestion: Make Undo/Redo Buttons More Visible

Trivial, I know, but had the undo/redo buttons been more visible in WinBox, I would have surely taken advantage of it. I suggest adding the words "Undo" and "Redo" to the buttons, and move them to the right, so they're positioned above the work area, like this: RouterOS Undo Redo...

Re: RouterOS v5 RC2

From the bugs I've reported in 5.0rc1 and from what I've re-tested and observed in 5.0rc2, it seems that the following changes are missing from the 5.0rc2 change log (correct me if I'm wrong): *) ip packing - no longer locks up system; *) log - now shows source IP address for SSH connections, like i...
