Re: BUG: math rules broken

I don't agree. Multiplication and division are, regarding precedence, on the same level. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_operations The standard order of operations, or precedence, is expressed in the following chart. terms inside brackets exponents and roots multiplication and division ad...

BUG: math rules broken

I have just found out (after ten minutes of struggling), that division and multiplication operations have a strange bug in v4.0b2. For instance: expression 10/2*2 outputs 2.5 instead of 10. The Dude apparently processes the expressions as if there are parentheses - 10/(2*2). But why the hell? I adde...

Re: all services "ok", but still orange

Yep, that worked. Weird issue. Thanks a lot.

BTW, it's not gone in v4.0b2 - I have this version as I stated in my first post.

all services "ok", but still orange

Hello,

can someone explain to me why my computer in the map is orange while all probes are in "ok" state? What is this "Down - 4.29 G"? See the attached images.

I have The Dude v4.0beta2.

Thanks

Re: change of DHCP leases has effect on the map

Well, serious troubles with "MAC lookup: mac to ip".

The device loses its IP address and turns violet. It apparently cannot lookup IP address from the MAC. Reason unknown to me...

Re: change of DHCP leases has effect on the map

OK, thank you very much. It was not quite clear for me what that setting meant. Configuring "mac to ip" to all my devices. Is there a way to make it default for newly discovered PCs?

BTW what is the purpose of having the original "ip to mac" as a default?

change of DHCP leases has effect on the map

Our notebooks (sales people) often leave HQ for more than a week. DHCP server is set up to expire leases after 8 days. What happens is apparent - NB's "steal" IP addresses from each others after some time. For instance, today NB03 is here, but the Dude indicates NB05 as present. :) The rea...

Downtime in the label - the Dude 4.0 beta2

I have uptime displayed on my labels, like this: [Device.Name] [snmp_uptime()] It would be very useful for me to see downtime as well on the label to quickly find out how long a particular device is off. I can see exactly the value I need - when I open one of offline PC's , tab Outages, column Durat...

Re: Remove some SNMP info from devices

OK, here is an answer to my previous question: :)
The default label setup is located in Settings of the main window -> Map -> section Device Appearance -> Label.

Re: Remove some SNMP info from devices

I'd like to refresh this thread.

Now we know how to customize label on a particular device ALREADY in a map. But how to make it default so that newly discovered devices automatically get this improved label?
