Can you configure an AP using an Aironet 340

Hi

Can you set an Aironet 340 to be an AP?

The ROS box can be seen in a list of wireless networks when in Ad-hoc mode but as soon as it is changed to intrastructure mode it dissappears :(

Can any one shead any light on this?

Cheers

Re: Cisco Aironet 340 not detected

 Found it

Thanks for the link to the cisco documentation - found it in the troubleshooting. The ROS had defaulted to licence level 1 demo which does not allow WIFI to work. I will purchase another licence so I can test before changing the live ROS boxes.

Many thanks

Re: Cisco Aironet 340 not detected

Hi Thanks for the reply but I also got the same results using 2.9.29 - Have I gone too far back version wise for support?

Cheers

Cisco Aironet 340 not detected

Hi

I have a Aironet 340 PCI card but ROS will not detect it. I have tried in 3.0rc6 and also and older 2.9.29 and it is not seen by either.

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

Cheers

My main reason is specific hardware devices. I tend to try to put old server units to use as other devices to make as much use of them as possible. I have a pair of 1u Dell 1550 which (bar not having IDE) would make an excelent pair of ROS boxes.

John, not wanting to be a pain, but is there a reason why SCSI will not be supported in the future - just interested to know.

I will swap things around so I use the 1550's for something else

Cheers tully the only problem is I don't have any of the internal power connectors the back plane supply's the power for everything. I surpose I could connect one into the PSU wiring.

Is there no chance of getting RouterOS on to SCSI?

Has anyone else requested this before?

SCSI install?

Hi

Is a SCSI compatable installation planned?

We have 2 Dell 1550 server I would like to use, is there any other way around this? There is a IDE interface that the CD is connected to but all the drive bays are SCSI back plane and there in no room internally for a drive :(

Cheers
