remove part of a config line?

Hi, I have an ip firewall filter rule much like this: 1 ;;; accept gre for pptp chain=input action=accept protocol=gre dst-address=192.0.2.12 I want to remove the dst-address constraint at the command line. I can set it to 0.0.0.0/0, which has the same effect, but that seems like a workaround. Can a...

Re: "system sup-output" hangs at 6% on ROS6.7

Of course, I posted this question and the command finished. Never mind.

It took far longer than I expected, but I didn't think to time it. More than 15 minutes, less than 90 minutes, for the benefit of anyone else who experiences this issue.

"system sup-output" hangs at 6% on ROS6.7

I'm running 6.7 on a CCR1016-12G and need to file a support request. So I go to a terminal and run: [admin@router]> system sup-output created: 6% -- [Q quit|D dump|C-z pause] It sits here. No file supout.rif file appears. Profile shows that the system is overwhelmingly idle. I can interrupt the syst...

cannot attach IPv6 address to specific subnet

I'm running 5.20 on a RB1000, and one specific VLAN interface will not respond to any IPv6 addresses attached to it. Here are some VLANs from the RB1000: add arp=enabled disabled=no interface=ether3 l2mtu=1596 mtu=1500 name="260 - avairis" use-service-tag=no vlan-id=260 add arp=enabled dis...

filter by bgp-as-path not working

Hi, I have several BGP peers. Some are customers. Some are upstream. I want to transit my customers, but not become an unofficial Internet exchange between my providers. I'm trying to build a single consistent filter I can use for all of my providers, for both IPv4 and IPv6. The obvious way to do th...

how to make local user work only if RADIUS fails?

Hi, I have several RouterOS 5.10-5.12 devices authenticating via RADIUS. All works as per the documentation. This lets me log who has configured the devices. I wish to keep the local user account for disaster purposes -- if I lose both RADIUS servers but still have working routers, I want to be able...

IPv6: cannot ping across /112

Hi, I'm using a RouterBoard 1000 with 5.12. Cogent handed me a /112 for my uplink. I think I have it configured correctly, but I cannot ping their address (::1 on the assigned network). As I've only set up IPv6 twice before, before I get on the phone with Cogent, I wanted to double-check my router c...

Re: Traffic Flow ( netflow) Autonomous system information

Mikrotik support answered my query on this.

"currently it is not possible. We will evaluate this feature and possibly add to
planned feature list."

So, there's the definitive answer.
