Re: RB SXT G-5HPacD "requires more rates than we support"

I've tried changing all the settings available on the netgear router. It doesn't seem to have an effect. Phones and laptops connect fine to this router. I suspect the issue is on Mikrotiks end.

Re: RB SXT G-5HPacD "requires more rates than we support"

I'm having the exact same problem... I've tried editing the supported/basic rates on my SXT and changing every setting I can think of. I can't seem to resolve this issue.

RB2011 Routing Issue?

I got a new RB2011-uas-2hnd and set it up so that ports 1-4 are switched (eth1 is master) and ports 6-10 are switched (eth10 as master). I then bridged ports 1, 10, and the WLAN port on it. I set up a DHCP server on the bridge interface. However, when I do iperf between a computer connected to ether...

Re: NV2 Real life PTMP migration and stability

Trying Nv2 on our first AP. Version 5.14 and looks very promising... will probably migrate all our cpe's to mikrotik after seeing this. Went from being able to push about 10-12 meg with good latency through a single chain G-mode 2.4ghz AP in 802.11 to being able to push 18-20 meg with good latency. ...

Re: Limit registered customers way too low in AP, WISP

I doubt you will get 80-100 customers per sector. With 5ghz and NV2 you might get 40-50 tops I would say. (At those speeds)

Are you not worried about cross-interference with 6 radios in one box? Maybe that is part of your noise problem.

Oh ok = ( darn I got my hopes up. Looks like a good card if they could only fix it...

What about the FLR24G30?
Anyone got any info on it?

Are you sure it's not just the offset? It has like a 10 db offset.

Anyone using FLR24G30 and UBNT SR71-12

I've been reading up on these cards (not much info) for use in some sectors/omnis. They seem to be very good cards but I was wondering if anyone had any comparisons of signals when switching from other cards to this one. If they seem to be a very good card and we are interested in using them for som...

Re: hotspot + account manager

I just set this up today and the problem I found was that my Radius + Usermanager wasn't set up correctly. In addition, be sure that you have a Profile set up and defined under the User you are trying to create and log into. Good luck!

Re: 25 km link (2.4 ghz)

It's pretty rural out here, when scanning from the client side I don't pick any other networks up except our own. 40 mhz channels are a possibility, but our signal strength seems to be the main issue. We plan to eventually make it a 5 ghz link but we can't at the moment.

25 km link (2.4 ghz)

Can anyone give any insight as to what I can expect out of a 25 km 2.4 ghz link? We are using 24 dbi single pol antennas (vertical) with r52hns on each side. I'd like to get at least 30 mb throughput with 90+ ccq. We currently have the link up but it is only getting about a 77 during the nighttime. ...

Re: Disconnection issues: interference?

How close on the mast is PTP to AP, what antenna's are used, I assume you are using a different polarity for the PTP, Yes, the ptp is horizontal and the ap is vertical. They are at basically the same height. I'm not exactly sure what brand of antennas are used but the ptp is (I think) the HyperLink...

Re: need a boost on a wireless network

My advice would be to first update your routeros, then try using nv2 on the SXT link and nstreme on the 25km link, cap the data rates below what they automatically set themselves to.

Try to get your ccq's on the links to be 90+ with traffic on them.

Disconnection issues: interference?

Hi everyone! I have a backhaul link that has a disconnection problem. First, I will illustrate this for you. We basically have a link like this. Tower A >>>> Tower B > Sector. The link is using the atheros ar5413 cards with 2.4 turbo, and the sector is also on 2.4 ghz using the r52hn cards. The sign...

Help! Temporary License Expired, didn't update license!

Hi, I was playing around with a Mikrotik at home and upgraded the firmware to version 4 (I have a level 4 license). I left it alone for a few days and now I can't get it to work. How should I go about reinstalling the firmware and keeping my old license? What cables/software will I need? Thanks to a...
