Also I think the cpu start to be more utilised ? in profile the most cpu usage is "unclasified" is someone notice something simillar with 7.13 ? Yes, on a few Hex models, and RB5009UG, CPU is frozen on 350Mhz and doesnt change, i have also netinstalled it back with factory setting to test...

if your mikrotik is connected to adsl with static ip then: 1) block all ports of your modem for safety except your mikrotik thats fully open 2) in mikrotik block all ports except what you need open ( winbox, telnet, etc...) 2) then open the vpn port for telnet in mikrotik with its ip ( port foward )...

use something nice like a R433UAH or RB600 for wireless if going outdoors, if indoors just use wireless card on x86
use a x86 pc for management control and for cable access & a x86 for proxy
extras are network auto switches,cable,power etc...

i came right with it:D exept 1 tiny problem is my client option on router where you set username & password...... :( it conflicts with usermanager...example if i setup username & password on router then it work but if i setup on usermanager it dont....... :? also another problem is user band...

running pppoe server , firewall, queue, L7

runs smooth, got +/- 250 clients

i recommend full bandwith for your clients, limit your ethernet lan your clients are on eg:( 128k/128k) and create a basic queue for downloads of file types :

eg:

*.mp3
*.zip
*.rar
*.iso

what it is, is your clients will get full bandwith you set for them but drops when downloading
