Re: can't access 2nd rb750g via winbox

Sorry, late reply. But, thanks yes that's what I meant: Couldn't see the router from outside it's domain or couldn't see the Public IP. BUT... I figured it out. If you default a router/hostpost and let it use the default setup. It disallows you access to it remotely. The "Drop Access" rul...

Re: can't access 2nd rb750g via winbox

Re: can't access 2nd rb750g via winbox

Hi thanks for the reply. I can ping anything from anywhere. I just can't get into the second router. Of course that's the private sub. I can't even get to the Public IP I have on the router. I shouldn't have to port forward anything should I? 2 routers behind one modem? I guess one would think a po...

When you connect to it on port tcp/10000 it forwards the connection to port 20000 on a host with IP 2.2.2.2 /ip firewall nat add chain=dstnat dst-address=1.1.1.1 protocol=tcp dst-port=10000 action=dst-n...

Re: port forward / nat

add action=dst-nat chain=dstnat disabled=no protocol=tcp src-port=8100 \ to-addresses=10.1.0.2 to-ports=80 That's wrong. The source port isn't 8100, it's some ephemeral port. The destination port is 8100. Change it to: add action=dst-nat chain=dstnat disabled=no protocol=tcp dst-port=8100 \ to-addr...

Re: 1 ext IP Address, multiple domains to multiple servers

You can only do that via the proxy - you can't actually port forward based on the domain name in an HTTP request because port forwarding is destination NAT. NAT has to happen on the first packet of a connection. HTTP is TCP, so the first packet is a simple SYN - you don't know the HTTP header yet i...
