I use winbox under wine on Debian. Works well for me... Should work well on Ubuntu.
One tip though If you want to connect to your routerboard by MAC address, make sure you give your network adaptor a default gateway. Or else you will not be able to connect.
No difference i am afraid, although now i have been looking at it on my screen for a while it seems queue tree is totally stuck. I cannot even reset the counters, and the average rate on one of my queues is stick on 15.0kbps. There is about 25Mb of traffic between 21 customers on this particular site.
Hi, I have noticed on one of my routers running V6.0rc13 that queue tree is not working correctly. For example i am marking packets destined for my voip service and i can clearly see voip packets being marked. When calls are being made in the network i can see the data rate in the statistics tab of ...
Hello, I have been trying out ROS 6 (rc13) on some of our routers, and i have noted that the way queues work have changed for double qos. It seems that rate limiting with simple queues is no where near as stable as rate limiting with queue tree in the older versions of ROS. This week we have just in...
I dont have any bridges on the routers at the tower, only a loopback interfaces for OSPF to work correctly. In my Userman config i had two addresses added for the same router, one for each of the links from my core network to remote site, as i assumed Userman would need to know to accept requests fr...

I reconfigured the VPN, i am now using ipSec which is more secure.
Since i have done this, i can now access the web interface of the NAS, but still cannot access the shares. I guess the MTU could still be at fault, even with the different type of tunnel?

Everything seems to route fine, as i am able to access remote desktop and other services at Office A from Office B. However i am not able ...
Wireless is a little more complicated than this, and we would need more detailed information about the characteristics of building that you are trying to cover.
For example of the walls are abnormally thick or the house is just large in general, you may need to consider more than one access point.
I'm having some issues with the new release of ROS, so would like to downgrade. But i cannot find Netinstall anywhere on the Mikrotik website. Am i being blind?
