RB3011 - PPPoE with 1 GbE?

Dear Forum, we like to use an RB3011 for an FTTH internet access with 1.000 Mbit/s. Regarding to the test results https://mikrotik.com/product/RB3011UiAS-RM#fndtn-testresults I was sure this modell can cope with this kind of traffic but normal IPSec or Routed Traffic doesn't seems to be compareable....

Hotspot with public nat to nat translation working example

Dear Board, it's my first time I try to use public IP address for my hotspot users with nat to nat translation. But I didn't could get it work even with 5.26 or 6.18. Maybe I'm blind but I haven't found any instruction for nat to nat in hotspot environments. A hint would be great. My problem: After ...

Re: Untagged VLANs: bug or mistake?

Hi Celtic, I hope this is all you need. Maybe I didn't got the difference between the switch_cpu and the ethernet master port? IMHO they belong together, but working on a different layer => switch_cpu over master port. [admin@bkw] > export # jan/02/1970 00:00:49 by RouterOS 6.12 # software id = F2F5...

Re: VLAN Management

I got this working.

I'll update with the resolution later in hopes that it helps someone else in the future.
Dear hngjared,

it would be great to see a piece of your working configuration, because I have a similar problem. :)

Thanks!

Re: Untagged VLANs: bug or mistake?

Hi, you pointed out to a mistake in my configuration which I didn't note. After hopefully changing this parameter I could say it isn't working either. :( Additionally I noticed that the management IP address is only reachable from my Windows 7 laptop. Trying to ping this IP from my Linux Laptop woul...

Untagged VLANs: bug or mistake?

Dear Board, I have one RB2011Ui AS-RM (tested with RouterOS 6.7 + 6.11 + 6.12 ) and I like to configure some VLANs. It's the first time I try to use the Mikrotik Switch CPU because I'm interested in the wire speed performance. Now I discovered a strange phanomenon, hopefully someone could retry my c...

Re: 802.1x Wifi Authentication Timeout

I changed my radius timeout in different manners, but in my oppinion this effect isn't influenced by Radius. Because the Windows notebook disconnects after 8-10 seconds, even If I have not finished to type in the credentials. :(

802.1x Wifi Authentication Timeout

Dear Board, I don't understand the following behaviour, maybe one of you can give me a hint? I configured a VM with Freeradius and advice some Mikrotik Routerboards to authenticate the WiFi connections against the Radius server. Everything works fine, except one strange thing: 1. A Windows 7 noteboo...

Re: External Application Ruleset

Year, it seems to be a transparent proxy, but I like to handle also iso/osi layer 3 and 4, which means checking the ip addresses and maybe the syn bits. :) The clue is: I don't want to alter the destination websites. Our dynamic filter and access control have to work transparently in the middle, lik...

External Application Ruleset

Hi forum, I know that many single features are possible with RouterOS, but what is about a merger, if I like to realize the following: 1. I like to setup some specific firewall rules, for example if a webserver on port 80 is requested, this starting flow should be sorted into a queue and wait. 2. Be...

Re: Failed to get my CERT

Dear Jean, dear Forum, funny, yesterday I spend about four hours with this issue. Today I decided to discuss this strange behaviour with some mikrotik experts (you :D ) and found Jeans post. I have the same effect, I'am using two RB750 with static IP addresses, and tried RouterOS 5.17 and 5.21. If I...

BGP4 with RouterOS Licence Level 3

Hi Board, I'd liked to play around a little with BGP4 on some x86 Hardware and Level 3 Licence. But everytime I try to add a new BGP4 Instance in 4.17 I'm getting the message: "Couldn't add New BGP Instance - current licence does not support". On mikrotik.com and the webpage of my Mikrotik...
