If your new and still learning why did you change/deviate from the default firewall rules??
Also you dont state which model of device you have??
There were no rules on the router. It was completely blank with no configuration. The router is a Mikrotik hEX

Only half bandwidth download with simple NAT setup?

Hi Guys, Please go easy, I'm still learning... I have an issue where I'm only seeing half of the actual bandwidth when connecting to my mikrotik which is connected to a fibre modem. The mikrotik is doing basic NAT. If I connect my laptop to the modem directly and run a speedtest, every time I get 95...

Changed to a higher spec Mikrotik and now multicast is broken

Guys, Can anyone help? I'm not a network expert so I'm a bit lost. We just upgraded our core router from CCR1036-12G-4S to a CCR1036-8G-S2+ as we're using SFP+ on our network. I copied over the config from the old router and everything is working fine except for some multicasting that a couple of ou...

Re: Script to change login background .jpg daily

Tim,

Unfortunately it wouldn't work with the image files in the hotspot folder and trying to grab them from local host.

No problem, I put them on my Radius server and it works perfectly! Thanks again for the idea. :)

All the best,

Re: I suspect MTU problem with hotspot. Can anyone help?

I've played around with settings for hours and with the hotspot enabled, the MTU is always set to 1500 and MTU 1460.

It seems the hotspot settings override the settings for PPPoE Client.

Can anyone advise how I can set MTU to 1480 with hotspot enabled?

both-addresses-and-ports:2/1 will become 3/2 and 2/1 will become 3/1 and so forth. First part is the amount of Wan's. Also both-addresses-and-ports will prety much break evry thing using secure ports, banks, games ext. src-port works.
