My unit was a new one, so corrosion had to be ruled out. However i do think that the culprit could be the reset button.

That problem does persist. Even my tapping was a temporary fix.

Any Mikrotik Router behaving in a strange way.....just NetInstall them with latest firmware and upgrade its Routerboot version as well. Netinstall solves 90% problems other than hardware related.

There is considerable difference since i had performed the upgrade on QRT and SXT lite. Upgraded them to v6.13 on both of them. No problem since then. Should i upgrade all my routers like 433-711-911 from 5.2x to 6.13 for better performance.

Not only MAC should be added.
If you add new record and firstly add comment then record will be added with blank MAC and clients will reconnect.
So add MAC and interface/forward/... first.

I had such occasion when added blank MAC. Example, + > select interface (options) or add comment > Apply > insert MAC > OK . Add MAC first and then make edit. As i have understood ur post , u mean to suggest that only MAC should be added first and the comments and interface later..!

what u have suggested seems to be a great idea. I will try it and will surely let it know. But i think Mikrotik should provide a solution for this problem. Mikrotik has come a long way now and things like this should be a piece of cake for them....!:)
