Re: WireGuard kills local CAPsMAN

I think your config missing following: /interface wireless cap set caps-man-addresses=127.0.0.1 Awesome, you're my hero! this was the missing piece. You made my day, thanks a lot! It's interesting that the local CAPsMAN can be discovered without that setting if no WireGuard is present but is needed...

Re: WireGuard kills local CAPsMAN

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer, it's very appreciated! You should be using 7.11 stable. I am, I just exported the config before I updated. Unfortunately 7.11 doesn't change anything for me on that issue. I dont use capsman as the additional overhead to configure is simply not worth it. T...

WireGuard kills local CAPsMAN

Hi, I was setting up my three routers (all RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD) up with ROS7 from scratch. I started with the IP settings (IP address and DHCP server) and then configured CAPsMAN which worked as expected for my access points (all set up in CAPS mode) and the local wifi of the router. After that I se...

Re: Webfig remote access from WAN

I have setup pptp VPN to call my router from WAN - it works and I am able to access LAN resources... except the router itself. Winbox and Webfig are not accessible via the router's LAN ip. Hey Ros, I have exactly the same issue with my RB4011. Where you able to solve it? It's no problem on the olde...

Re: Can't access admin console (Web and Winbox) via IP after switching to CAP [SOLVED]

It's incredibly embarrassing, but the mistake was that I was trying to access the device with a wrong IP address all the time.

Re: Can't access admin console (Web and Winbox) via IP after switching to CAP [SOLVED]

Sorry for the late response, I just realized that I did not activate notifications on replies by default.

Is the config (of my hAP ac2) in my first post what you are asking for or do you need a different config to look at?

Re: Can't access admin console (Web and Winbox) via IP after switching to CAP [SOLVED]

Hi cieplik206,

Cap traffic is bridged. I am directly connected via Ethernet to the hAP ac2 and still cannot access the web interface. I will give romon a try but I still would like to understand why the web interface and Winbox are not working.

Can't access admin console (Web and Winbox) via IP after switching to CAP [SOLVED]

Hi, Maybe I searched the wrong keywords but I could not find a similar issue in the forums. I run a RB4011 as a router in my network and recently added a hAP ac2 as an additional AP using CAPsMAN which works fine. Unfortunately, after setting the hAP ac2 in bridge mode or CAP I cannot access the adm...

Re: [SOLVED] IKEv2 with RSA authentication > iOS > EAP is not configured [SOLVED]

Hi Emils,

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your help! I have overseen this and chosen Certificate instead of None, my fault.

Thanks,

IKEv2 with RSA authentication > iOS > EAP is not configured [SOLVED]

Hi, I followed the instructions at https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/IPsec#Road_Warrior_setup_using_IKEv2_with_RSA_authentication to setup IKEv2 with RSA authentication. It works fine for my Android devices but with I cannot connect. In logs I see "EAP is not configured". I know the...

Interface Graph Drops (Internet Connection Issue?)

Hi, I assume that I have an issue with my internet connection but I do not know how to investigate the source of the problem. Symptoms: * Netflix dropped to low quality stream every few minutes * Today I got disconnected multiple times from live support (remote access like team viewer) always after ...

Re: Trigger Script when Client registers on Network

Just tried it today and it works like a charm. I had to modify the script very slightly because I want to fetch the URL even if the MAC address is not bound (I do the checks and API calls to control the light with a PHP script). Since today we do not need to tap the switch anymore the room is alread...

Re: Trigger Script when Client registers on Network

Thanks a lot macns! Your script looks exactly what I was looking for, you just made my day! I think it works pretty good with my needs because I don't need to trigger the script every time the user connects. It's sufficient once per visit and with the lease time i can define how much time needs to p...

Re: Trigger Script when Client registers on Network

@Chris: Thanks for your input, it is very appreciated! I think this could work. @Mallabik: Unfortunately not. My coding skills are not that good so I was searching for an example of a DHCP Lease script but couldn't find one that is similar to my approach. Two things I am not sure how to achieve: * T...

There must be someone in this community who can help me with this or is my goal inconvertible (which would be a helpful information as well)?

Trigger Script when Client registers on Network

Hi, I am looking for a way to trigger a script when someone registers its client to the network (maybe identified by a dhcp request from specific MAC addresses?). Specifically I would like to call an URL (REST API) to turn on the light (Philips Hue) when his/her device successfully connects to the n...

Re: Triggering Scripts on Queue Traffic Pattern

Thanks for your input, mrz. Since the 3g connection is really weak I would like to avoid to check external resources like the FTP server. I played around a little bit and ended with the following script: :local queueID [/queue simple find name="cam-xyz"]; :local queueComment [/queue simple...

Triggering Scripts on Queue Traffic Pattern

Hi, I am new to the MikroTik world and already addicted. Very nice products! Ok, I have a music studio that is monitored by a network attached webcam and I would like to trigger a script on the MikroTik router if someone enters the room. The cam uploads a picture every minute to display th...
