Re: ROS 6.38 serious DHCP server problem

And again the same problem with 6.39.
What do you mean with "the same problem" as people are discussing different problems here...
DHCP server does not work unless you disable STP.

Re: ROS 6.38 serious DHCP server problem

Just had this issue appear out of nowhere on 6.38.5.
It was working fine but suddenly it stopped issuing DHCP addresses to clients connected through my WiFi AP.
Disabling STP fixes the issue.

Re: RB433UAH not bootig after upgrade to latest firmware (6.37.5)

I managed to get the router working. It was a hardware failure after all. I contacted support and was told that the router is out of warranty. Looking at the board I noticed that 5 of the capacitors were swollen at the top (the router is old after all). http://i.imgur.com/FF5fgCy.jpg So I decided to...

I upgraded the firmware very recently so it's probably the latest one.
Is this perhaps it: RouterBOOT booter 3.24 ?

Re: RB433UAH not bootig after upgrade to latest firmware (6.37.5)

Tried with several different power supplies. It was the same. On several occasions it would almost finish installing the firmware but it would reboot before finishing.
Are older versions smaller? Perhaps it might succeed with a smaller firmware?

I managed to get the netinstall running but I'm seeing the same simptoms as explained by mikrostart. It keeps restarting the cycle. On several occasions I was able to start "Install" but it didn't finish. It started booting again. trying bootp protocol.... OK Got IP address: 192.168.88.100...

Re: RB433UAH not bootig after upgrade to latest firmware (6.37.5)

Hi,
I tried on two different computers. Laptop and desktop.
Run as administrator. Firewall disabled.
Boot server enabled.
Nothing happens. I boot the router while holding a metal on the reset "button". Also tried without this but nothing happens as well.

RB433UAH not bootig after upgrade to latest firmware (6.37.5)

I tried upgrading my RB433UAH with the latest available firmware. I think it's 6.37.5. After the upgrade the router was rebooted but now it does not boot. It only beeps once. There is no second beep. Tried resetting it to defaults. The beep is now like a prolonged beep (crackling sound) but there is...

Re: Feature request: OpenVPN compression LZO and UDP

I was configuring a mikrotik as an openvpn client for the first time today and while troubleshooting I found that I have to disable compression and that it only works using TCP. I came here for a solution and got a really bad surprise. Mikrotik does not support UDP and compression! Everyone keeps sa...

Re: IPSEC - one way SPI SA not installed

I'm using a 3G stick for WAN that does not have a fixed IP address. That's why I used 0.0.0.0 for source. It's possible to read WAN IP address and set it in 'IPSec/Policy' using script. Regards, The 3G stick gets a private address from the provider that is then nat-ed to a public address. I tried t...

Re: IPSEC - one way SPI SA not installed

sa-src-address=0.0.0.0 SA-Src-Address should be set to your public (WAN) IP, and this NAT rule is not necessary: add chain=srcnat dst-address=192.168.10.0/24 src-address=10.32.0.0/16 BTW, you didn't post your 'IPSec/Proposal' settings. HTH, I'm using a 3G stick for WAN that does not have a fixed IP...

Re: IPSEC - one way SPI SA not installed

I'm getting the same problem when trying to connect the Mikrotik to a pfSense firewall.
On the side of the Cisco and pfSense there are no errors displayed.
The only problem I see is that the SA is not installed on the Mikrotik.

Regards.

IPSEC - one way SPI SA not installed

I'm trying to create an ipsec vpn tunnel between a Mikrotik and a cisco router. ipsec to cisco-Mikrotik is behind NAT. Tun is up no traffic

I'm trying to setup an ipsec tunnel to a cisco router. The mikrotik is connected through a 3G stick and gets a private ip address that is then nat-ed by the provider. I can see that the tunnel is up and that SA's are established but no traffic goes through. Please note that when I try the same setup...

USB modem port invalid after every power outage

Hi, I have RB433UAH with routerOS v.5.14 I'm using a ZTE MF626 3G USB stick. It works fine until there is a power outage. If (after a power outage) the router boots with the stick inserted, the USB port comes up invalid (in ports it is in red) and the connection does not work. If I remove the USB st...
