Hi all, have a look at the moxa 311 http://www.moxa.com/product/nport_de-311.htm it uses a little app that redirects your serial port of choice to the IP of the moxa unit. Ive used theses for a while now with audio control gear, never had a problem. With one of these up a tower connected to the rout...

Im using a 532 in a masters thesis, I need more space for html storage than what is available on the NAND, so I thought that I could use an image of RouterOS on a microdrive and boot to that.

My alternative is to put the whole thing on a wrap.

"the CF can only be used for RouterOS Webproxy cache."

And for booting an alterante OS mounted on a CF so why not RouterOS?

Boot RouterOS from CF on 532

hiya all,

Im wondering if it is possible to run a 532 from a RouterOS image on a CF, and if possible, where would I get such an image.

Im trying to develope a new use for the 532 but needs the OS to run on a CF.

Grateful for any input.

have you tried Nstream? It sounds like the backoff protocol of wifi is killing your ccq with the frequency hopping link nearby. I imagine something like this is happening, your node goes to tx, checks frequency, sees its clear, and sends a packet...next packet comes along, frequency hopping node is ...

How secure is RouterOS?

One of the node owners on our wan has noticed some oddities recently. While logged in on a teminal to a 532 he saw these commands appearing. It seems that someone was logged in with him and was trying something. VnV4 VoV4 VpV4 VqV4 What I would like to know is if RouterOS has a root account, or has ...
