Re: Version 7 and EAutomate

My employer uses E-automate cloud, but we do not use Mikrotik routing on that part of the office network so I have no experience with V7 V6 worked.

They use windows RDP if that gives any clues, IE / edge browser only.

Re: hardware idea for a multiport switch

How are you going to keep dust and other foreign debris out of the jacks? If they are open to the top gravity will cause open ports to fill up and make them unusable.

Like others have said, cabling would be a nightmare.

Re: The Dude, v6.36 [current] release.

[quote="krisjanis"]@jerryd Maybe you need to increase timeouts/intervals for those devices behind dsl lines? I do not have a problem with Dude generating messages.. I have two other routers sending the dude server syslog type messages. A seperate "Event" log for Dude messages wit...

Re: The Dude, v6.36 [current] release.

Currently I have Dude running on a x86 platform, monitoring 50 devices across several DSL connections. Often the connections drop and re-connect causing multiple syslog messages to occur. The previous versions where looking good, that is why I licensed the server it was running on. The last release ...

Mikrotik to Watchguard M200 firewall IPSEC VPN

Management has elected to replace our office RB450G with a Watchguard M200 for better control and threat management. I need to connect 3 remote sites to the Watchguard. Currently each remote site has a RB450G running L2TP back to the office, each location has a separate 192.168.x.x address block rou...

Special login / Serial Port question hardware related.

At a remote site I have a radio site controller with a RS323 port that was originally designed to connect to a modem. They are using the CD (Carrier Detect) line to control when to enable the login prompt and auto logout. I followed the examples in the wiki : http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Serial_Por...

Graphing bug?

Would this be considered a bug in graphing? This is on a L2TP tunnel that has very low traffic I have no problem with the daily or weekly graph, the monthly and yearly are in question Link is a 1.5M/640K DSL line so the peak reading of 6MB on the monthly graph is not possible! This has been noticed ...

Re: DHCP Server gives out old DNS info

Good call on the export.. That showed where it was coming from.

I had to remove the network data under DHCP-Server as it still showed up after removing the main server entry.

Will find out for sure tomorrow morning when I'm at the office.

Thanks for the help

Re: DHCP Server gives out old DNS info

IP/dns was updated to the new DNS servers when it was placed in service.

That was the first place I looked.

DHCP Server gives out old DNS info

I have a routerboard RB-532 that originally was setup as a spare router for an existing DSL line. We are switching DSL providers so I used this spare for the second path, changed the IP addresses, routing, DNS under IP options etc. Everything works great except.... Doing a DHCP server setup it shows...

Queues / QoS on L2TP tunnel for VOIP

I have been using Router OS on 2 RB532's between 2 locations for over a year with no problems. Original plan was for limited VPN connection for connecting to a SCO unix system and sending back data to a local printer. This works great. Over the last year I have added features with no problems, inclu...

HP Jetdirect traffic over a l2tp tunnel?

I have 2 RB532's running firewall NATD and Source NAT with no problems. The 2 routers are performing flawlessly so far at each end. The next phase is to link the 2 together as a VPN. Location 1, has 192.168.0.0/24 network. SCO unix server, FreeBSD mail server etc. Location 2 has 192.168.3.0/24 netbl...
