Re: RB751G-2HnD WireGuard not working

I appreciate you take the time to help me but you need to chill with that attitude. After I enabled persistent-keep-alive it established the connection just fine. I never touched this config before in any of my setups, but all good now. But again, please work on this attitude. We're all grown ups he...

RB751G-2HnD WireGuard not working

Hello, I have an old RB751G-2HnD which I recently updated from version 6 to 7.9 as I needed Wireguard. The configuration is very basic. No firewall rules, no special routes. Just the minimum required configs to connect to the internet and connect with wireguard to the VPN provider of my choice (Mull...

slipstream - bypassing NAT/firewall

Hello,
Just wanted to bring to your attention the following article from Samy https://samy.pl/slipstream/
It's currently trending on hackernews.
I was not able to replicate this with the provided code and SIP enabled on "Service Ports"

Thanks

Re: DNS over HTTPS

Not sure why Mikrotik never implimeneted DoT and went for DoH. Routers are tools to implement and include to network designs. It makes absolutely no sense to pick DoH over DoT in routers. Leave DoH for the browsers :) Mikrotik should be promoting good network practices, not the latest gimmic because...

751G + Metarouter (High SSL cpu usage?)

Hello,
I have a 751G with an OpenWRT (idle) instance.
Image
I don't have any SSL service or Hotspot. When I stop the metarouter the CPU usage drops to 0-1% (normal)
My Mikrotik version is v6.47 but had the same issue with previous versions too.
Any ideas?

Look for L2tp and BCP instead of EOIP Your goals: - No MTU Issue - pptp is unsave 192.168.70.1 Thank you all! I finally managed to get it working. BCP + SSTP was what I ultimately used. Initially BCP + SSTP was not working for me again but as soon as I remove the local & remote static IP addres...

Re: EoIP + DHCP Issue [SOLVED]

In order to ping 192.168.78.1 from inside Mik2 I need to add a route in Mik2 and route all traffic to 192.168.78.1 from the pptp interface. But even when I do that, the DHCP is not working.

EoIP + DHCP Issue [SOLVED]

Hello all! Goal: Use the Mik2 eth4 to get a 192.168.78.0/24 IP from the bridge1 DHCP Server in Mik1 Problem: Even though the EoIP interface connection is established, when I connect a PC to eth4 (Mik2) I cant get an IP address from Mik1. Few notes: 1) The Mik1 pptp client doesn't force any default r...

Monitor traffic per connected client (dual stack)

I' m interested in monitoring traffic usage per client connected to my mikrotik. The thing is that my ISP provides me with dual stack ipv4/ipv6. With ipv4 i could just monitor traffic with simples queues just by adding their local ip address. With ipv6 though it's hard to do the same, as most modern...

First of all... masqurade the pptp-client interface to gain access to the actual network from your pc. If you also want to change the default gateway to pptp-client so you can basically pass all traffic through the vpn, then you should follow this guide here. http://unblockvpn.com/support/how-to-set...
