Re: How to run a second action after ACCEPT in RouterOS 7

Thanks all for your replies, You all are correct, the first matching ACCEPT or DROP rule preempts the chain. Your hint of using the mangle rules helped, this is how I solved the problem: The idea is to limit a telnet client to connect to the router not faster than one connection per minute. So, The ...

How to run a second action after ACCEPT in RouterOS 7

I am using RouterOS 7.11.2 I need to perform multiple actions AFTER an ACCEPT rule is matched. For example: /ip firewall filter add chain=input protocol=tcp dst-port=1234 src-address=10.0.90.10 action=accept /ip firewall filter add chain=input protocol=tcp dst-port=1234 src-address=10.0.90.10 action...

Re: Ring hardware and Mikrotik [SOLVED]

SOLVED!! As I am setting up my new Ring Stick-up camera, I kept getting "Setup did not complete, check your internet connection" voice message. I tried resetting the camera and changing access points but that did not make any difference. I then did packet sniffing and realized my problem m...

Re: Security profile selection gone v. 6.40.5

Indeed, I am using 6.47.3 and am facing the same issue.
What happened?
Does that mean with NV2 there is no encryption?

[Update]
I just realized that under the NV2 tab there is a preshared key field that must be the same on both the "AP Bridge" and the "Station wds".

Strange DNS Entries in cache even when remote requests are denied. [SOLVED]

Hello, In my RB2011UiAS with router OS version 6.45.7 I have disabled "Allow Remote Requests" in addition to having INPUT filter rule to block DNS requests and yet after I flush the DNS cache I immediately see some strange DNS cache entries that get refreshed every 5 minutes such as the fo...

Re: SXT Lite5 ac Beeper

Dear Normis, I just double checked, my 2.4GHz units are not Lite, they are "SXT2" (SXTG-2HnD) they have a speaker/buzzer and beep on boot. However my other 5GHz units are as follows: The older units are "SXT Lite5" (SXT 5nD r2) , they have speaker/buzzer and I can hear beeps on b...

Thanks Normis,

FYI, I have also SXT Lite2 and SXT Lite5, they both have a beeper.
Only Lite5 ac does not, it seems.

SXT Lite5 ac Beeper

Hello,

Does the "SXT Lite5 ac" have a beeper?

If so, How to enable it?

I have "Sysyem-> Routerboard-> Settings-> Silent Boot" unchecked but that does not have any effect.

Thanks

Re: High Power (1W) 2.4GHz PTP bridge with One External Ante

Keep in mind that the Groove isn't shielded all that well if you have other 2.4GHz equipment on the tower. That is nice to know, Although due high weather temperature in Summer, I keep the unit indoor (In a stair case near the roof) and connect it to the External Antenna with a 10m low lose cable. ...

Re: High Power (1W) 2.4GHz PTP bridge with One External Ante

You dont need to terminate second chain, just disable it. 30dbm on two chains means 27dbm on one chain. It's better to use groove 2HN.

Thanks InoX, I'll give it a try.

High Power (1W) 2.4GHz PTP bridge with One External Antenna

Hello, I already have a wireless PtP link between my office and home (about 5.5km), the antennas are properly aligned. Re: Can RouterOS do Broadband Bonding / WAN Virtualization ?

You are absolutely right Toni, I apologies. After reading more about the Mushroom Networks product, I noticed the need for so called "Broadband Bonding Service monthly subscription". Although they mention it is optional, I can't see how would it work without such cooperation from a third p...

Re: Can RouterOS do Broadband Bonding / WAN Virtualization ?

No Toni, A Broadband Bonding allows a single TCP connection to take advantage of the sum of the two or more WAN speeds. For example , if I have to ISPs with 3Mbps each, then I could do a single session FTP file transfer with 6Mbps transfer rate. Note that Broadband Bonding is done without ISP cooper...

Can RouterOS do Broadband Bonding / WAN Virtualization ?

Hello,

I have read about some routers that claim they can do Broadband Bonding / WAN Virtualization like this one: http://blog.mushroomnetworks.com/2012/0 ... net-lines/

Can some one tell us if RouterOS can do such function and if so, how?

Thanks
