RB1100AHx2 slow wan speed

I have a 1GB connection from service provider, when plugged directly into their connection I get 950+Mbps. When through the Tik, 160-200Mbps. I have WAN on Ether11, LAN on Ether1, firmware at 6.39.2. Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks!

Re: 1GB Connection, what hardware?

I have WAN setup on port 11, and LAN on port 1. Still considerable slow speeds. Directly plugged into provider, close to 1GB, through Tik now after upgrading to 6.39.2 160-200Mbps. Thoughts/ideas?

Re: 1GB Connection, what hardware?

I went with the RB1100AHx2 - quick question though. Plugged into connection directly, I'm getting download speeds in excess of 900Mbps, and through the Tik between 400-600Mbps. I have a very generic/plain config right now. Any ideas? I don't really care much, but the client his a Gig connection, and...

1GB Connection, what hardware?

Getting a new 1GB connection, and would like as much bandwidth as possible. Current RB2011 I already had, won't push much more than 300MB. Will the RB1100AHx2e be adequate, or go to a CCR? Thanks in advance!

Downgraded both to 6.33, still no issue. Then upgraded both to 6.37.1 and the tunnel is up!

IPSEC tunnel issues

I have had a IPSEC tunnel up for a couple of years. Then this morning out of the blue it is down, saying phase1 negotiation failed due to uptime. I have gone through the config over and over, reconfigured with the same results. Any suggestions or ideas?? Thanks!

l2tp/ipsec vpn setup

I am trying to setup a l2tp/IPsec vpn for new Mac users. I have it setup, however I'm getting a failed to pre-process ph2 packet in logs. I have removed the default group policy from IPsec peer. However, I still get the error. Any ideas? Thanks!

RB2011UiAS slow speeds

We have a new RB2011UiAS setup, with very simple config. Our bandwidth is 300MB, and tests as such if I config. a system directly with the static IP info. However, going through the Tik we never get much more than about 80MB locally and testing with ping speed on the Tik itself. Any thoughts or idea...

Which RouterBoard

I am looking to setup a simple network for a Café. We will have a WAN connection, LAN for internal network, LAN for customer wifi, both LAN networks separated. We would like to run the wifi as a hotspot with a landing page. Which routerboard hardware product will support doing this? Thanks in advance!

Re: IPsec tunnel and issues with Shoretel

I have messed with MTU, MSS, and clear DF via mangle. However, issues with phones still exist. Would I be better off with a different tunnel than IPsec? Thanks!

IPsec tunnel and issues with Shoretel

Client has two locations, that have had a point to point between them. To cut down on cost and increase speeds, they are switching over to a Comcast connection. I have put a RB1100 at each location. Slow Browsing

I have a RB1100AH setup with a Comcast connection, with Comcast in bridging mode. With the Tik in place browsing is beyond slow, not even really useable. Yet, if I remove the Tik it is as expected. The Tik has a very basic config.... Any ideas or things to check? Thanks!

Re: PPPoE issue

The RB450 is what I am referencing in regards to the PPPoE issues. It is behind the Netgear. With just the Netgear in place doing the PPPoE it is fine. As soon as I put the 450 in place doing PPPoE, it becomes incredibly flaky.

I have a client with several offices that we have IPsec tunnels connecting all offices. Today, I attempted to setup one of the owners home offices. Re: Filter Rule/forwarding question

I've read up a bit, and apparently I really shouldn't need to open this range as the default "established allow connections" should handle this. Is this correct, and if so why is it not working? Phone calls can be made and I hear them, but they do not hear me. Thanks!

Filter Rule/forwarding question

I have a client that has a few hosted VoIP phones on their network. I need to accept the port range of 10000-20000, to the entire internal network in and out. I assume this need to be done with a filter rule? I am unsure of how to do this on a Tik. Any suggestions? Thanks!
