Yes, it is correct. If you change settings for HotSpot user and you do not want that user is disconnected, then CoA should be used. I do not think this is issue anyway.
Do you use CoA (change of authorization) between your HotSpot and User-Manager?

When HotSpot user settings are changed on User Manager, and User Manager sends these changes by CoA packet, HotSpot user is not disconnected, but new settings are applied for it. This reply certainly got me more confused than the first one...Please explain in simple terms what can or should be done...

If you will change (Change of Authorization) settings of the client, then user should not be disconnected.

Nice one,,, but what if the administrator is not available to extend the ticket? what if only one person has administrative rights to do that and he is not around? i guess mikrotik needs to look into this issue

Hi
I need to implement the following on my network but dont know how.

I want some set of users to be able to use the internet between 7am-7pm daily
another set from 7pm-7am daily
and another set for 24 hr period daily.

Kindly let me know how to achieve this.

i have a mail server set up now...

I also have a hotspot log- in page for clients... How does a customer bypass the log-in page and get directed to http://routerIP/user?signup=PublicID.

Without these datails, we cant proceed to use the sign up method.
