Re: Cisco to Mikrotik OSPF

Cisco is always in the wrong. I suspect them. Default route NOT being injected from Mikrotik.

Re: Cisco to Mikrotik OSPF

Okay, so I came back and did some more work on this and as it turns out...I don't have a problem. Full Adjacency has been established between my field router and the core network cisco router. I can access all company services from an inside port of my router HOWEVER still cannot get to the internet...

Re: Cisco to Mikrotik OSPF

Thank you. Instance ID is set to 0 on both sides. Though now that I think about it MTU probably does not match. You probably just fixed my problem. Thank you. I think I understand what is going on. The Cisco Router is doing Vlan trunking through a switch and the Mtik router is on other side of the s...

Cisco to Mikrotik OSPF

I have reviewed several previous forum posts so as not to cover old ground. ((internet)) | | | Cisco router 10.254.254.21 Loopback | | | | Mikrotik Router 10.254.254.24 Loopback Can ping any port on Mikrotik from Cisco Router. Can ping cisco router from connected ethernet, but not from loopback prob...

Re: Unifi vs Mikrotik MESH vs Aruba

For implementation at that level. With that many users being online at one time, please consider setting proper cost expectations and go with ruckus wireless equipment. Unifi is not a bad idea but you will need mikrotik routers to keep from bridging and switching too much. Use a Powerful server for ...

RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN

Question 1: I see in the block diagram that this device has an AR9390 Chipset. Does this mean that it is capable of beamforming? I see that Qualcomm claims this chip is capable of it? Question 2: Is there a cheaper way than an RB800 to field the AR9380/9390 Pci-e cards? I have seen someone talk abou...

Ubiquiti Antennas in Repeating Mode/Mikrotik QOS

If I am running a Ubiquiti Bullet off of a RB450G in Access Repeating Mode, and I have another Bullet in AP Repeating mode connected to that as a WDS Peer, is there anything I can/need to do in the Mikrotik Router QOS/Mesh wise to make the link between the Bullets "smarter"? I think it is ...

Re: RB411+XR9(Ubiquity) connection

Download winbox (If you haven't already) and hook in via the ethernet cord using the MAC address of the router. Winbox will find it wherever its at though if it is similar to my own experiences in the least it will be 192.168.88.1. Make sure your ethernet adapter on your PC is on the same subnet (ie...

Cisco Router > Cisco Layer 3 Switch > Mikrotik Router RB450G

I already saw where this was asked before, I am trying to wrap my mind around it for my setup. The Cisco Router has 4 Vlans 16-18-20-22 It is part of a network using EIGRP. I would like to create a Field Network using OSPF in the Mikrotik Router. What would be the proper commands and metrics to plac...

Mesh using Mikrotik HWMP+ with Ubiquiti Radios

So trial and error has made me realize that Ubiquiti does better at the "purely dumb wireless" (in my opinion), While Mikrotik offers routing that is incomparable. Therefore I am considering a mesh network, using the Ubiquiti's in AP-Repeater mode with a dumb bridge to their ethernet port....

Re: RB493g basic configuration Lvl4 Router OS 5.20

I answered a few of these questions already with a bit of googling, so I now my questions are modified. 1.) If I were going to bring my signal in on WLAN1 what is the best way to connect it with the switch group, bridge? If so to what do I bridge, Master port? 2.) Same question if I were to bring si...

RB493g basic configuration Lvl4 Router OS 5.20

Brand new to Mikrotik so I will ask some relatively dumb questions. 1.) I understand I can only switch eth2-9. If I understand correctly I need to choose one of these as a master port and set the rest to make it the master port? Is this correct? 2.) If I wanted to create connectivity between eth1 an...
