Re: 3 -> 2.9 downgrade bug: firewall filter

Because in 2.9 you are unable to specify port ranges like 1-n. Probably you are not talking about router os, because in mikrotik router os v2.9.x you CAN specify port ranges (I did it and I still do it on many routers) :lol: EDIT: port ranges REMAINS in all firewall filter rules except the last one!

3 -> 2.9 downgrade bug: firewall filter

Hello, there is another bug in routeros when downgrading from 3.0.xx to 2.9.xx: when I had (in 3.0) last rule in firewall chain=forward action=drop dst-port=135-139 protocol=udp after downgrade it's chain=forward action=drop protocol=udp -it simply clears port numbers (it happens only with last rule...

Re: ping and tracroute timeouts

Plz tell something more about your configuration: eg. ip addresses on rb333up's and edgerouter's interaces, routes on rb333dn and rb333dn2... (Lets say: rb333up -> nstreme2 has 10.0.10.2/30, rb333up -> switch has 10.0.11.1/24 etc.) First think: are subnets of rb333up's public IP and edgerouter's IP ...

Re: Problem with 3.0rc6

Almost all posts are offtopic ;) The only problem is in router os configuration - after reseting to default (or clean install) system runs normally, but I (we) cannot upgrade with keeping configuration (there is some kind of incompatibility of configuration data files between 2.9.x and 3.x - it's sa...

v3rc: wireless incompatibility?

another problem with v3rcX (not on v3betaX): when I upgraded some APs from previous versions (2.9.x, 3betaX) to v3rcX, some clients can't connects on APs anymore ... AP shows those clients in registration list, but clients have "scanning" status and no traffic pass through this link... Som...

LCD package

I have a question about lcd package in routeros v3 ... in beta versions there was an lcd package inside installation (but didn't work correctly - only 1. and 3. line (on 20x4 lcd) shown, but with funny symbols and no numbers), now in rc6 this package is totally missing. So my question is: when (in w...

v3rc: DHCP bug

I have found that in routeros v3rcX is incompatibility in DHCP package with previous versions: After upgrading from beta10 to rc6 (RB532) DHCP server, which was on bridge interface, stops working (goes red in winbox). It doesn't work on wireless interface in AP bridge mode too (only in client mode o...

After configuration reset everything seems to be ok, so probably the problem is in incompatibility of configuration data...

is there any way to insert file content into existing script?
(something like "/ip address add < filename")
