We have a customer who wants us to provide internet to moving train. Maybe some ventilation is needed ? Come on, there is a big radiator (heat sink), how can it work properly when it can't radiate like in small itelite enclosures ? IMO you need more space like in, let say, WiBOX system, which I use in my installations http://www.wireless-instruments.com/en/produkty/1...

Re: Throughput over 300Mbps on MIMO 2x2 ???

it is a translation mistake. The pictures clearly show the speed to be 298Mbits. The text which says "speed over 300Mbit" should say "speed of 300mbit"
True... but it's shown Tx/Rx Rate of 320mbps...

But doesn't matter, theoretical max is 300 :)

Hi, I got an e-mail from WI with a link to some customer story or something like that. It would be nothing special, but the text describes the connection of 2x2 that can exceed 300Mbps. As far as I know 300Mbps is the theoretical max I can get from MIMO 2x2. http://www.wireless-instruments.com/en/13...

SXT G-5HnD should be ok for that distance, but doesn't guarantee anything. In urban area where is a lot of 5 GHz stations there can be strong interference. If you aren't able to set up MT, ask for the help MT consultants http://www.mikrotik.com/consultants.html or QuickSet.

To be sure 6x6 is not possible in 802.11n standard, unless you meant 2 x MIMO 3x3.

6x6 is possible in 802.11ac standard for example, but I think that making good antennas for that band would be a bit problematic.

Yes, separation between polarizations is very important in MIMO antennas. Especially for some functions as spatial multiplexing when you don't have any reflecting elements. You should use some parabolic dual pol. antenna (Jirous/CyberBajt). SEXTANT has too weak antenna. If you like panels use http://www.wireless-instruments.com/en/ ... -24hv.html, we used them for two point-to-point links.
