IPv6 Multicast Routing

Hello!

The recent ipv6 package handles ipv6 multicast in same router with different subnets?

ffx(5,8,E)::x and RP embedded don't work for me.

Thanks.

Re: Get IPv6 via VPN/tunel from another MK

thanks, maybe im missing something, but i think i have to do the tunnel over ipv4 because ipv6 (tunelbroker) is VERY slow at home, thats why my idea was to use the ipv6 tunnel from work the problem is broke the tunnel in your home. you can try to setup a EOIP tunnel in both mikrotiks in ipv4 and re...

Re: IPv6 dual stack on vlan in couple of minutes IPv6 is dow

/64 is minimum length that can be assigned to the customer. However i have not seen any issues in RouterOS if less than that is allowed. DHCP-PD even allows prefix length of 64 to be distributed to clients with pool length of 64 (that is DHCP-PD can give out only 1 prefix to PD client) yes janisk, ...

Re: how to syncookie protection

ahmn okk, drastic solution, you can use blacklists.

filter packets to detect and add ips to firewall address list with action ADD DST TO ADDRESS LIST, and add a filter rule to drop packets.

a similar example http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=54199

Re: limiting network access

No manual :) you can use for the vlan dhcp servers, and for pppoe a pool, is auto. the more secure solution is pppoe with different user and password by 400pc. or tunnel L2TP or other other way is get the mac of all pcs and filter... mac ACL, easy to hack, put the same mac of other pc, plug cable an...

Re: Multicast (Bonjour) routing intra-router across subnets

congratulations vortex multicast works ok  1 if you use different ports for different subnets in you routerboard, with independent switches or hubs to connect your pcs you can add in firewall drop multicast from printer subnet. 2 if you have a hub or switch interconnecting all subnets.. you are...

Re: make an accessible to the internet by pppoe only ??

very easy, remove the ip->address from the pppoe clients input interface. the router not routes if not have address. pppoe create a "ip tunnel" by user, independtly of address of interface, is other layer.

with pppoe mikrotik recommends put the arp of interface to proxy-arp

If the rb450 is the client of dlink... remove all addresses from ip->address, put you rb450 all interfaces (eth & wireless) in a bridge to get all from dlink. if you use winbox with MAC address this is not necessary... put in the new bridge interface an address of same range of dlink or go to ip...

if you have 2 independent (ipv4 only) lines to internet, and in work have sixxs tunnel to do IPv6... the most logically is make a other tunnel IPv6 in home to do a IPv6 tunnel with the ip of work. the schema is: work->mytunel->work_router->tunnel->tunnelbroker->internet<-tunnelbroker<-tunnel<-home_r...

Re: tunnel from RB2011LS through LAN to RB951-2n multicast I

Easy, do VLAN with iptv port X (tag all packets input in rb switch port X), activate in wifi wds, read this vlan in near tv router.

you can change ttl of packets with mangle

Re: Cant connect to internet

Have DHCP configuration??

to center in you problem go to tools -> ping do a ping from router to 8.8.8.8 for example

if not response, check this, PPPoE add default route checkbox on.

if yes, configure dhcp server, ip, dhcp server, dhcp setup.

Re: limiting network access

I recommend remove address from routerboard interface and go to lower layers:

1 VLAN from pc client to router, and for more security, static ip as link, same as pppoe
2 PPPoE from pc with username and passwd to access

Hello, I have problem with IPv6 and VLANs (in a port direct to other group of pcs works always ok). In this case, is a VLANs in a bonding and vlan ARP reply-only, i read in the forum some problems in older versions with ARP in reply-only mode with IPv6. I set all VLAN ARP to enabled and the result i...
