Re: v6.35 [current] is released!

I have had some issues with NAT on this version, had a simple NAT rule for SMTP to internal mail server and router was dropping packets on external interface. Funny thing is some connections actually went through, did investigate this because people complained about mail not being received. Have rev...

Re: v6.14 released

Probably not necessarily a 6.14 issue, but have updated a rb2011UAS from 5.24 to 6.14 which used an Atheros USB adapter (AR9271 chipset). After upgrade, the adapter is not recognized anymore. Tried it on a x86 6.14 router and no go either. Did Mikrotik remove the Atheros USB aliases/drivers for USB ...

ROS 6.12 RB2011. no buffer space available... Network doesn't work. After reboot everything ok. I tried to update the firmware but does not help. Same problem here as well after uptime of 4 weeks.... Same here, seems to be tied to L2TP/IPSec since I started experiencing this when I set up L2TP/IPSe...

Re: v6.12 released

Running some IPIP/IPSEC tunnels between some sites with RIP over them. Routing tables show up ok on each router/site, but no traffic goes over the tunnels... Funny thing is the routers do show up on IP/Neighbours, so MDP seems to be working between therm, but nothing else works. Downgrading to 6.11 ...

McTedson, looks like you have different problem (symptoms) like the original post. Please post in other topic about your board problem. Also contact support@miktotik.com about this problem so we could try to help to fix that. They way I see it I have exactly the same issues only he's on 6.10 and I'...

Just had an idea. I can remote syslog the routers to a machine in the network that will store the logs so in case the router breaks , i might have something to send.
Question is , what topics should I log ??

Re: RB2011 freezing

McTedson and the others if the problem is fixed by downgrading the RouterOS then it is not a hardware problem. It looks like more a software problem. Please contact the support@mikrotik.com with this problem and also include the support output file. The problem is not fixed for me by downgrading. I...

Re: RB2011 freezing

I had issues using an RB2011 with IPSEC/L2TP and OSPF on ROS Ver 6.10. All IP traffic would die, but LCD/console would work as normal. If I consoled in and then tried to ping out, I'd get an error about the buffer being full. Only rebooting would resolve the issue. Downgrading to 6.7 has fixed it. ...

Re: RB2011 freezing

They are running 6.7 / 3.10 , eth1 as WAN on 100mbit link, ISP WAN bandwidth at 20mbit, all other gigabit ports connected at 100 mbit.
Other than usual firewall and regular wireless they are running IPSEC / RIP.
Routers still hang.

Re: RB2011 freezing

Hello. I have three x RB2011s. They all have slightly different configurations, are at different locations, and aren't related to one another. One of them ran fine for a while, but then started freezing regularly. When this happened, the router passed no traffic, and did not respond to a ping on an...

Re: rb2011 - poor performance with uk bt infinity

Just wire the patch cable between the router and the modem with 4 wires (1,2,3 and 6). This will force the Mikrotik to auto-negociate at 100 Mbit.

Well, since my reseller (after replacing my bricked ones) has no more stock, i won't risk bricking another one just for the kicks. For me 1.6 it is.

Hi, in my feature sumary/bugs thread (http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=49646#p358156) , becs has answered, that with most acls you can brick your RB2*0GS, there will be a SwOS 1.8 shortly. I think, you should RMA it, or ask through the support email, if there is another possibilit...

Perhaps access to RB250GS could be more helpful, please write to support@mikrotik.com and open a ticket about this problem.
You mean you cannot access it anymore ?

Re: Bricked a 250GS and a 260GS

Please attach the backup here, I will check it. Do not install SwOS v1.6 on RB260GS, it will brick RB260GS - TFTP reinstallation will be required. RB260GS has separate firmware from RB250GS and it is supported starting from SwOS v1.7. It's not like it's not bricked, but yeah i thought so too. See a...

Re: Bricked a 250GS and a 260GS

Just to clarify a few more things: 1. Both switches behave like dumb switches now (the configuration was for vlans etc), so it looks like the swos does not start and leaves the atheros switch in its default state...dumb. 2. I have saved a config from the 260GS before entering the ACL rules (also a b...

Bricked a 250GS and a 260GS

Hello, Have noticed the other day that there was anew software version (1.7) for the SWOS and decided to upgrade one of my production switches. Bad ideea. The switch was configured as independent vlans on ports 2-5, trunked to port 1. I have noticed the VLANS tab was changed layout wise, and in the ...
