Re: v7.1beta2 [development] is released!

Nice version, but on CRS326-24S+2Q something goes wrong: Kernel panic on much of reasons. 1. Connected to HP virtual connect via SFP+ - kernel panic 2. Connected to Procurve switch and assigned vlan to port via Copper SFP- kernel panic 3. Connected to cisco n3k-c3064pq kernel panic And this panic is...

Feature request: Using files as address lists.

Hello, I've encountered case with a very big address list (not so big as RKN Blacklist, but also not small), would be great just to create only 1 rule to 1 address-list: import from address-list.txt Some kind of the implementation could be: /ip firewall address-list export add import-file=address-li...

Re: New hardware - mAP

What about a mAP AC lite with AF/AT power and 2-3 10/100/1000 ports This would rock in a dorm room. If the price point could be around the hAP AC Lite hAP ac lite with gigabit ports and in a smaller package for the price of hAP ac lite sure, I'd buy that! Would be great to add USB-NIC mode - mAP ga...

- Routing filters often need to be disabled/re-enabled to make them work. Bain of my existence.

Re: Decline of Mikrotik?

It does seem that the home user is the market Mikrotik is targeting their products at. :( Routing in v6 is severely broken, no fixes are forthcoming and there is constant promise from support of them being fixed in RouterOS v7. The problem is, RouterOS v7 is 3 years overdue, and there is no sign of...

Re: Decline of Mikrotik?

Sadly to find out it, but i think current Mikrotikls focus is SMB/SOHO and WISP access, not BroadBand ISP (CCR could be very nice BRAS, but not IPv6 ready (radius attributes), and nor for Enterprise/ISP Core - issues with BGP (need to rebuild RIB saturation in case of BGP rebuilding), nor for enthus...

Re: New hardware - mAP

Would be great to add USB-NIC mode - mAP gains 3rd Ethernet interface via USB.

OSPF Router-ID in docs and MTCRE

Hello, I've met some insistency with wiki(official docs) and practice. ROSv6 -> Protocol OSPF, Instance setting - while using default Router-ID - is a maximum IP address on router, by the practice it's different. It's also spotted in MTCRE questions. By the practice mostly using is LOWEST IP address.

L2TP/PPTP DNS use for access servers

Hello, when Mikrotik planning to add feature of using DNS names for L2TP/PPTP or other VPN access servers (in configuring VPN client). More and more oftenly ISPs using round-robin algorithm to balance load on BRAS and in that case DNS resolve and open sockets on BRAS-s changes. I've found that Mikro...

L2TP problems

Dear support, please help me, I've bought CCR-1036-12G-4S (ROSv6rc12), and getting this 3 types of errors: 1. After making l2tp tunnel, and setting it up, I've found an impossibility to remove that tunnel. 2. Also CCR loses it's PPP profiles and it makes impossible to deactivate tunnel directly (by ...

This kind of problem I've met on CCR with ROSv6rc12: 1. After making l2tp tunnel, and setting it up, I've found an impossibility to remove that tunnel. 2. Also CCR loses it's PPP profiles and it makes impossible to deactivate tunnel directly (by setting it's status to disable). Then I go by 3 ways: ...
