Re: RB750G not working after reboot

Can you elaborate what a NAND error is and where do I look for them? I will try another power supply.

Thanks

RB750G not working after reboot

Hi. I came home one day and my router was dead. No lights on any ports and couldn't connect to it. I pressed and held reset button to do a factory reset and then it came up with factory defaults. Reconfigured and life was good. I took a backup this time in case I needed it. So had to tidy up some wi...

Re: RIP not working right after upgrade to 6.0

Rebooting fixed it, not sure what was wrong.

RIP not working right after upgrade to 6.0

I have a RB750 and upgraded to 6.0, now RIP is not enabling learned routes in routing table. All the routes that RIP has learned are Blue and listed as Dr in routing table? Any ideas. I haven't changed anything and config looks fine compared to other routers with 5.4 version.

Re: WRAP reboots every night

Well downgrading didn't help. I have sent another supout to support, I haven't heard anything back yet.

Re: Only 13mbps on 802.11g link?

I just did a test with two wrap boards in the lab. With routing I got 13.5megs TCP from PC to PC. CPU usage was 100%. I then used the MPLS bridging method and still got same speed but CPU usage was around 50 to 70%. So is this is realistic number? Seems weird that I can get 17 from a DD-wrt wap to M...

Re: WRAP reboots every night

Just thought I would let you know I downgraded to 4.17 from 5.4 and I haven't had any reboots since (2 days now) so we will see if it holds. In mean time I will send supout file and see if they can find anything.

Re: Only 13mbps on 802.11g link?

I was wondering the same thing about noise floor, -98 is fine in my book. I am using 4.17, and have tried 5.4 as well, same results. I have tested with PC on one end with same results.

Re: Only 13mbps on 802.11g link?

Well I was expecting close to 20mbps. The routerboard has two cards in it, one to connect to my internet source which is a 802.11g AP Dlink and the other to distribute to a remote site. When I do a bandwidth test from Mikrotik to Dlink I get about 20megs, but from Mikrotik to another Mikrotik 3.5 mi...

Only 13mbps on 802.11g link?

I have a point to point link with two WRAP boards with CM9 cards. The distance is about 3.5miles and signal is good -61 noise is -98, the tx rx rate is 54mbps on each side. When I do a bandwidth test I am only getting 13mbps TCP but I get 23 UDP? The CCQ is close to 100 when passing data. The CPU us...

WRAP reboots every night

I have a WRAP 2c board with 5.4 loaded and it keeps rebooting every night around midnight-4am, it seems to do it just once every night. In the log I just get router was rebooted without proper shutdown. I have turned off watchdog timer and it still does it. Is there a way to tell if it is a hardware...

How do the numbers in mikrotik link up with SR5 cards. By default it shows TX power of 17, default power is 26, so does that mean I need to subtract 9 to get real power level, if I want to manually set?

Yes I am testing from Windows to windows, throughput is better windows to mikrotik. I have tried WDS bridged and standard routing, and the performance is very close. So I am losing about 5-10mbps going through a extra hop, why is it that I am losing throughput, when I am not actually repeating the s...

Anyone know if this is normal, I wouldn't think you should loose speed through a router like this?

Well I just upgraded to 3.0v7 same issue.

I am doing a routed 2 hop system,

MikrotikA 1 SR5
|
|
MikroTikB 2 SR5
|
|
Mikrotik C 1 SR5

if I go from a to b, I get 45 tcp via windows file sharing
a to c I get 35?
Is it normal to lose 10mbps via the middle hop? Should I do eoip or wds?

TCP half of UDP

I have a P2P link setup with 2 933mhz Intel P3, using SR5 cards. Nstreme, 5ghzturbo, I am getting 62mbps UDP end to end, but I only get half on TCP, around 30mbps, any reason why? I have them hooked together directly with 60db attenuators (no antennas), signals around -50 Another note, I am doing th...
