Please add a date/timestamp, plus the version # for that date/timestamp) for each change? At a minimum a date/timestamp.

I've got torches on each ROS box and dont see any traffic going/coming from either 10.161.51.4 or 10.161.51.2.

The interceptor is collecting off ether-8-master which is the master port of that switch segment.

I have a synology NAS and you can try and make hairpin or loopback work but just create a static DNS entry for the inside LAN that points the FQDN to the local IP then you should be all set.
are you using a dynamic DNS service like DYNDNS for outside?

Re: Winbox For Other OS's

I'm in this a little late, but I am throwing my $0.02 in FWIW: 1. A Java port would be nice as it is multi-platform, and since it was originally Java based that should not be too difficult. There are other OSes besides Windoze, Linux, Mac, etc (OS/2, eComStation come to mind) 2. The WebUI should be ...

MTK says they "fixed" the problem, but the version released is the wrong one. But in response to your question, my co-worker has PFSense on a 4gb CF. As I have said, I found a MTK 3.30 on a laptop IDE and that boots fine. I have since upgraded that to 4.6. The first problem with Netinstall...

Re: RouterOS on Watchguard xSeries h/w

There was a 4.6 version that would not error out but the stuff it installed didn't work (boot properly, etc). Then they said they fixed it again after I sent a message. Then they released 4.6 and reverted to an old non-working version.

IMHO they need better s/w control mechanisms.

It would be really nice if I can issue a REMOTE REBOOT to a given IP and/or MAC address. There are times when a radio seems to be working but I can not mac-telnet in and this would be a way to (1) see if the system is responding and (2) if not then we know a hard reboot is needed.
