802.11ac AP + nv2 Virtual Accesspoint for PtP?

Hi, is it currently possible (with a OmniTik 5 AC) to configure a regular 802.11ac Accesspoint for normal Clients but also configure a nv2 -protocoll enabled virtual accesspoint for terminating a PtP Link to another Mikrotik XT Lite5? Or are both transmission protocols incompatible that this could w...

Update RJ45 Module S+RJ10

Hi,

I got such a module with Revision 2.11

Is it possible to upgrade it to a newer version by software, or is the hardware also differen in the newer versions?

Thanks a lot!

Cheers,

Re: 2.5 GBit Ethernet possible with MikroTik CRS309-1G-8S+IN with MikroTik S+RJ10 SwOS 2.11

Hi,

thanks for your answer. Yes sure, if you have to buy the parts it may be cheaper, but I af some S+RJ10 still lying around and some newer Clients do have a 2.5 Mbit ElCheapo 2.5 GBit NIC build in, so I thought, why not :-)

Cheers

2.5 GBit Ethernet possible with MikroTik CRS309-1G-8S+IN with MikroTik S+RJ10 SwOS 2.11

Hi, since 2.5 and 5 GBit ethernet makes sense regarding to hardware costs, I wonder if I can use a MikroTik CRS309-1G-8S+IN with an MikroTik S+RJ10 SFP+ Module in 2.5 GBit Mode. I don't have the hardware here, but in the switch, when I disable autoneg i can only chose between 100, 1000 and 10000 MBi...

Re: [SOLVED] SwOS IGMP Snooping hijacking mrouter role!!

I actually have turned IGMP snooping back on my CRS317. Cisco switches have a bug that let 0.0.0.0 win the querier election see CSCub33602 That is not the only problem when connecting a(at least a) CSS326 which only runs SwOS 2.11 to a trunk port of a DELL 7024 Switch which already has an IP Addres...

Hi, requesting only prefix ... address not needed, link-local is used for pppoe-out1 interface That's the only thing I didn't try out on my own yet, it seems - because, it works! now i get my /56 nets delgated as planned:-) I guess, if I'd like an IPv6 Address for my Mikrotik I have to assign it to ...

DHCP IPv6 over pppoe "Deutsche Telekom" not working

Hi, after finding a rather comprehensive and good blog entry how to handle the annoying IPv6 prefix changes from the Deutsche Telekom (security by obscurity) https://blog.chanoa.de/mikrotik-ipv6 I tried again (after a couple of years) to establish IPv6 over pppoe with a Telekom aka T-Online account....

Re: MagentaTV / IGMPv3 and SwoS 2.10 for CSS 326-24G2S still not working :-(

We have included major IGMP Snooping improvements in SwOS 2.10 version. As kwinz already mentioned, if you still face some IGMP Snooping related problems, you should report this to support@mikrotik.com . A detailed problem description together with screenshosts, network diagram and packet captures ...

MagentaTV / IGMPv3 and SwoS 2.10 for CSS 326-24G2S still not working :-(

Hi there, after over a year, I was absolutely happy to see the new SwOS Version 2.10 with a lot of IGMP related improvements, finally it might be possible to use the switch together with "magentaTV" from 'Deutsche Telekom' (aka. T-Online) which requires absolutely IGMPv3 capable switches t...

Hey, don't like posting to myself, but whatever... To whom it may concern: The LAG + VLANs is supported on CSS326, only dynamic conversion from ports to trunk has not been implemented in SwOS yet. At the moment, it is required to configure exactly the same VLAN settings on LAG ports to ensure proper...

LACP/LAG + VLAN on CSS326-24G-2S+RM SwOS 2.6 (latest)

Hey All, I just bought a CSS326-24G-2S because of the IGMP Snooping capability, 2x 10 GBit SFP+ Ports and last but not least its very good energy efficiency. But after I got it (with stock 2.0 firmware...) and flashed it to latest 2.6 release the Problems begin. I got to configure two LACP Trunks (3...

Re: 3 WAN via pppoe to 3 internal Networks

Hey.... I have still no idea how to make this work. But I think "mangle"'ing would be something worth to try, even if I don't know it that would work because of the same IP Endpoints on the other side of the pppoe tunnel, as it it the same MAC Address as well on the other side. What can I ...

Seperate Ethernet Ports...: RouterBoard 2011UAS-RM

Hi, I just try to set up the following scenario and I am stuck at the very first step. Ethernet 6,7,8 should be configured as "IP less" Ethernet Ports. On Every Port one single pppoe client should be bound. On Ethernet Port 2 a switch is connected where all internal clients should login wi...
