Audience - error while running default configuration script: 3

Hi, Sorry in advance if this has already been covered, as I couldn't find it. I am trying to get a third Audience AP online and it seems to be having problems loading the default 'wps-sync-mode-script'. I have reset the device multiple times, upgraded the firmware to 7.12.1, downgraded it to a lower...

Re: extending wifi network to local wired devices

dpwl, Thanks for the prompt response and the concise explanation of the actual issue! When I read the functional description of station-pseudobridge my gut was telling me the same without the details. :D All the APs are Mikrotik (wAP AC or hAP AC). Can I infer that using AP-bridge via CAPsMAN will a...

extending wifi network to local wired devices

Sorry in advance if this is covered elsewhere in another thread. My search attempts didn't find it. I am trying to use an RB951 to extend a wireless network to a location I can't run a wire for a local wired device. I am hoping to keep the wireless infrastructure (controlled by CAPsMAN) unchanged ru...

Re: Dual WAN (DHCP, PPPoE) w/ PCC and local VLANs

can someone expain what this line exactly does? why we need it? what traffic accept?

add chain=prerouting dst-address-list=!LAN src-address-list=LAN
You don't, I don't think it actually does anything looking at it now. The new iteration of this config I am using doesn't have it.

CAPsMAN wireless network issues

Hi, Here is what I have running on my client's network RB2011 (6.35 - hasn't been rebooted in 193 days) that PCC load balances two high speed WAN connections, along with Queue Trees for all the local subnets 3x 951Ui-2HnDs and 1x wAP as APs (6.37.1) 1x 750UP to power the APs (6.37.1) 5 networks that...

Re: CAPsMANv2 - can't ping/see device on same SSID/network connected to different AP

After more research, I discovered I needed to use http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CAPsMAN#Manager_Forwarding_Mode . You'll want to enable 'client to client forwarding' as well, otherwise clients on the same AP won't be able to connect. Also, make sure to create a bridge on each AP, add ether1 a...

CAPsMANv2 - can't ping/see device on same SSID/network connected to different AP

Hi, If this is covered in another post, sorry, I couldn't find it. I am using CAPsMANv2 to control 3 APs with 4 SSIDs/networks on different VLANs/bridges. One of the networks has a network printer connected wirelessly which can be pinged from the router, but not from some clients connected wirelessl...

Re: Multi-WAN - can't ping/connect beyond ISP's gateway on one WAN connection only

Turns out it was the way I was creating the route for the cable modem. I needed to refer to it's upstream gateway, not the interface. Which I can do on the PPPoE interfaces. You can do it on the PPPoE interfaces because they're point to point interfaces, i.e. the gateway IP is implicit. Aaah! THAT ...

Re: Multi-WAN - can't ping/connect beyond ISP's gateway on one WAN connection only

So ... I removed the entire config and then added it section by section back in from an export. Turns out it was the way I was creating the route for the cable modem. I needed to refer to it's upstream gateway, not the interface. Which I can do on the PPPoE interfaces. If I have any routes referring...

Re: Multi-WAN - can't ping/connect beyond ISP's gateway on one WAN connection only

I am using mangle to mark packets for QoS and routing marks for load balancing. There are 4 different networks that use Queue Tree to prioritize traffic. Things worked fine when I used ECMP to load balance the WAN connections, but I had a lot of complaints about the inability to use websites and var...

Multi-WAN - can't ping/connect beyond ISP's gateway on one WAN connection only

I have an RB2011 with 3 WAN connections (2 DSL via PPPoE, 1 Cable via DHCP) In the router I can ping from the two PPPoE interfaces to google.com, but not the Cable interface. From the Cable interface I can ping the ISP's gateway and DHCP server, but nothing beyond that. The masquerade rules for each...

Re: Dual WAN (DHCP, PPPoE) w/ PCC and local VLANs

After some research and help (thx Amin!) it looks like this. (note to self: address lists are your friend) /ip firewall mangle add chain=prerouting dst-address-list=!LAN src-address-list=LAN add action=mark-connection chain=input in-interface=pppoe new-connection-mark=WAN1_mark add action=mark-conne...

Dual WAN (DHCP, PPPoE) w/ PCC and local VLANs

Hi, If this has been covered already, sorry in advance. I am trying to configure a Dual WAN (DHCP, PPPoE) solution with PCC load balancing that is accessible by 3 local networks (untagged LAN and 2 VLANs) I have the wireless/LAN networks routing over either WAN okay, but am having problems getting t...
