Re: New SXT AC Lite

Interesting trick: I bumped the license up to level 4 and I now have a 2 chain 5 GHz ac AP AND a 1 chain 2 GHz AP that can serve MULTIPLE clients! Away went the limit of only one client connected to the 2 GHz interface!!!

Re: New hardware - mAP

Does Mikrotik have a specific reason why the USB port is a Micro-AB port? These type of ports break down quite easy as you can by mistake insert a Micro-B connector the wrong way. I would suggest that the port would be switched to a Micro-B port in the future...

Re: RB912UAG-2HPnD + R11e-5HACD and USB port device

So the next question is, does the RB953GS-5HnT have a USB hub so that one can run 2 miniPCIe modems AND a USB device at the same time? http://routerboard.com/RB953GS-5HnT edit: answer was in the pdf: One powered USB 2.0 port, cannot be used simultaneously with J404 miniPCIe slot for 3G modem (softwa...

RB912UAG-2HPnD + R11e-5HACD and USB port device

Just noticed a thing that I didn't think was possible: I have a RB912 that is equipped with a r11e-5HACD MiniPCIe card and I'm still able to use the USB port for a 3G modem! Shouldn't the r11e in the MiniPCIe slot disable the USB port? Or is it just odd luck that it happens to work when load on the ...

There is a MAC address listed only for ETH1 & WLAN, does this mean that ETH2 is only for PoE out use?

Re: rb951-2n future suggestion ?

OK, by feeding the USB port externally with 5V then the port comes alive but on the board there doesn't seem to be a point where to pull 5V from. Would need to build one from the main power line. Seems like the system is more or less running on a 3.3v voltage...

Re: 3G/LTE cards DIP or QMI -Which is supported by MikroTik

The MC7710 uses u.fl connectors on board and I have SMA-u.fl pigtails. An external antenna is connected to the SMA connectors. You need to know what frequency you will use for your cell connection and choose the antenna to match that. Running ROS6.7 and newest FW03.05.24.00 on the MC7710 so can't sa...

RB912UAG-2HPnD RouterBoot update to 3.10 problem

Hello, The routerboot ar9344-3.10.fwf file found for the RB912UAG-2HPnD on http://routerboard.com/RB912UAG-2HPnD does not work. For both the RB912UAG-5HPnD and the RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT the file is ar9340-3.10.fwf. Is the file listed for the 2GHz model the wrong one? Atleast I'm not able to update my R...
