Hi All,

I am running RouterOS 2.9.49 and would like to be able to monitor the log file for radius login failures. If I detect a failure I would like it to email me an alert. Not being a script wizard like most of you out there, can anyone help me with this.

Found the problem ....the NAT rules were correct. It looks like there is a strange issue with FREEBSD passing the login details back. I pointed the rule to another server running a version of Linux and it worked. I need to do more investigation.

I used you example and mangle picked up the traffic. I then added the routing policy. I then noticed that ether1 had not TX rate ... it was receiving but no TX .... I disable the policy and the TX started working again ???

I don't see why I need a consultant. I have 25 clients hanging off this network and they are all working fine. I have 2 client running muria unit that run the routerOS and they are connecting in OK as well. What makes you think there is a problem with the network ????

Forepoint,

I have disabled nat and the PC is now getting an ipaddress from the Network DHCP server .....and I can ping the PC's ipaddress now. I am just waiting for the user to tell me if they can browse.

I agree Nat would be good but it's not working correctly.

Nat Rule

Hi Forepoint,

Is there any other way of fixing this problem. I have even added a static route to the AP that the client connects to. I can ping from the main AP all the way back to the 192.168.10.1 address.

OK,

The current setup does allocate an ipaddress from the CPE unit but I still cannot browse. What would be the alternative to masquerade. We are looking at buy 50 of these client units but we need to get the config right and I am struggling with this one ????

PC static address 10.2 -> eth1-10.1-> wlan 192.168.2.26 My networks gateway is 192.168.2.7 DNS is 192.168.2.7 I can ping the gateway from the wlan interface but not from the client PC. The client PC's gateway is 192.168.10.1...

OK ...I can now ping the ethernet address through the wlan connection. So in theory the PC should now get an ipaddress from the DHCP server and they should be able to browse ..?
