Re: VRRP Setup Help

It is not for load balancing. I am trying to set up a hardware failover with VRRP. I have two leased lines with fixed IPs in /29 subnet. Is it possible to have two different fixed WAN IPs in two different subnets? This basic example doesn't work. Mikrotik doesn't allow me to create two 192.168.1.1/2...

Re: VRRP Setup Help

So the Virtual IP (Vrrp Ip) is the same as the Gateway IP. But what about if I have two leased lines or two static public IPs, for example, 195.199.x.x and 87.159.x.x, how would I go about setting up the VRRP?

Re: VRRP Setup Help

Hi barkas,

What do you mean by the primary router would have the .2, backup .3, and vrrp ip would have the .1? Shouldn't the Primary and Backup be in a /32 subnet?

Thanks.

VRRP Setup Help

Hi, I need some help getting my VRRP setup working. 1. When both are powered up and initialized, both Interfaces in Winbox show "RM" (Running Master). Shouldn't it be one Master only? 2. Clients might connect through vrrp-backup unit instead of vrrp-master. Shouldn't it be always Master fi...

Re: fetch error: maximal connection count reached

There is only one "/tool fetch" job in the scripts. I have tried to run the script manually when it failed by clicking on "Run Script" button but it did not help. The only way to recover it is to reboot or power cycle the unit.

Re: fetch error: maximal connection count reached

Does anyone have a solution for this? I am having the same problem, it runs sometimes a few hundreds counts and sometimes it runs up to 20000 counts before /tool fetch fails to work.

Routerboard Firmware version: 3.18
Package version: 6.19

I've tried to upgrade both version to no avail.

Thanks.

Processing delimiter in RouterOS

Hi All,

How do I convert the uptime output from "1d21:20:49" to seconds?

Is there a command in RouterOS for processing delimiters? For example, these commands "cut -d:" and "awk -F':'" are used in Linux Shell script.

Thanks.
