Re: v7.9.1 [stable] is released!

Hey guys, my RB4011 ARM is failing to upgrade, it downloads the package reboots, but then it's on 7.9 again. Any idea how to fix it? Export the config, netinstall, re-import. It's the savest and easiest way. :-) That seems quite the hassle, I think I'll wait for the stable of 7.10 and see if an upg...

Re: IPv6 via non-prefix (address only)

Did you see this? https://www.netweters.be/t5/Instellingen-software-hardware/Docsis-3-1-E-router-CV8560E-bridging-actief/td-p/79981 It's a rather long thread, with additional links to others, and there's a lot of talk about IPv6. I didn't read it all, just skimmed through quickly, because I have to...

Re: IPv6 via non-prefix (address only)

Is router connected directly to ISP, or is there some modem/another router in between? If it's direct connection, and you have /56, you should get it either from DHCPv6 as whole prefix (not just address), or it can be static config. But if it's the latter, I wouldn't expect DHCPv6 server on WAN pro...

Re: IPv6 via non-prefix (address only)

Can you share what exact info you got from ISP? Mask addresses if you want, but don't overdo it, e.g. if there are some different subnets, it must be possible to tell if they are completely different or if one is part of another, etc. So my ISP gives me this: 2a02:1811:xxxx:8400::/56 This is what I...

IPv6 via non-prefix (address only)

So, my provider does not hand out a prefix via DHCP, the only thing I get is a DHCPv6 address from my ISP. I have a /56 network assigned to me and I get an IPv6 address from that range with default route: https://i.ibb.co/pfhtsMx/image.png https://i.ibb.co/pyxh2LV/image.png I can also ping to public...

Re: Mikrotik CHR speed performance problem

Pirlet , FYI - I assume you are running a Mikrotik CHR (64-Bit ROS). Heads up - I don't think you need the "SCSI controller 0" in your configuration. If I am correct , the CHR does not even have SCSI drivers and the virtual CHR hard disk is actually IDE. By removing the SCSI controller , ...

Re: Mikrotik CHR speed performance problem

Hey, let me just get into this thread because we're experiencing the same issue. Don't want to hijack but maybe it gives more insight to the problem and we can pinpoint more? Our setup is the following: Tyan Server: GT62F-B8026 with firmware R3.00 Processors: AMD EPYC 7551P 32-Core Processor Hypervi...

Re: Remote reboot IP Phones by URL (Cisco & Snom)

So, I got this to work for the Cisco phones with: /tool fetch mode=http port=80 url=http://192.168.88.xxx/admin/reboot But I cannot seem to get the Snomphones working, because I cannot type a "?" into the command line as URL... I should use this: /tool fetch mode=http port=80 url=http://19...

Re: Remote reboot IP Phones by URL (Cisco & Snom)

So, is there a way to script this into an RB2011?

I'd like to send these commands to internal IP phones

Re: Remote reboot IP Phones by URL (Cisco & Snom)

When I browse on my PC to that link of the phone, it just reboots.
So I'd like to know if there's a way I can implement this in somesort of a script.

Re: Remote reboot IP Phones by URL (Cisco & Snom)

Well, apparently it works without authenticating. Just browsing to that URL would do the trick, since they're not protected with a password.

Remote reboot IP Phones by URL (Cisco & Snom)

Hello, I have a Dual Gateway failover in place, and I'd like to do the following: Whenever the route switches from WAN1 to WAN2 (and the other way around). I'd like to reset my SIP phones remotely. this can be done by browsing to the following URL: http://192.168.xxx.xxx/admin/reboot for Cisco and h...

Failover script not returning to eth1

Hello, I've used the failover script from http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Failover_Scripting Now my problem is that my failover automatically goes to eth2 and doesn't return. My config: # ------------------- header ------------------- # Script by Tomas Kirnak, version 1.0.7 # If you use this script, o...

Hotspot automatically forward to login page

Hello, I've just set up my Hotspot using the Hotspot set-up. Everything is working fine, except that the users don't get redirected to the login page when they connect. Like on android you'd get "Credentials required for this network" and on iPhone you'll get the login page automatically. ...
