All the laptops tried support 5GHz. 5785 is a channel I've used before, but will try another one. I've set up several systems using similar setting without a hitch and I'm confused as to why I'm having a problem now. I'm positive it's something simple I missed this time around.

That's weird, give the network card from your laptop a fixed ip and try again. what operating system you have on your laptop? Again no luck. I am running windows 7.
