Re: upgrade from RB951G-2HnD

I have all 5 ports used:
port1 ISP1
port2 ISP2
port3 PC1
port4 PC2
port5 PC3

so no point in changing ports. Just updated the firmware from 3.12 to 6.42.2, maybe that solves my problem for now.
In hap ac2 it says 4 core 716 MHz cpu (IPQ-4018), but is it faster than 1 core 600MHz in RB951G-2HnD?

upgrade from RB951G-2HnD

hello, I've been using RB951G-2HnD in dual wan failover since 2014 when I set it up myself. It's been working ok, just 1 problem: port1 is dropping to 10mbps mode from 100mbps. I have to manually disable/enable it once a week, that's annoying. Now I'm considering to upgrade it to some newer model, a...

Re: Combining 4 pppoe clients

Why don't you try modifying this code: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=81799#p409010 It doubles my downloading speed when using 2 ISP, but on web it only works like 1 ISP. It also adds failover when 1 ISP fails. It loads my router CPU 80%+, but I have 50+70 mbps, for 2 mbps connec...

Re: 2 PPPoE PCC + failover, RouterOS 6.9

Did everything as written above and when I do a speedtest only 1 connection passes traffic, 2nd has 0/0. And it's random, sometimes 1st ISP loads 50 mbps, sometimes 2nd ISP with 70 mbps: http://www.speedtest.net/result/3304436205.png http://www.speedtest.net/result/3304444180.png What also is strang...

Re: 2 PPPoE PCC + failover, RouterOS 6.9

This code is all over the internet, in every PCC mikrotik video: /ip firewall mangle add chain=input in-interface=WAN1 action=mark-connection new-connection-mark=WAN1_conn add chain=input in-interface=WAN2 action=mark-connection new-connection-mark=WAN2_conn add chain=output connection-mark=WAN1_con...

2 PPPoE PCC + failover, RouterOS 6.9

RB951G-2HnD 2 PPPoE ISPs: 50mbps dynamic IP and 70 mbps static IP. I setup both internets in failover like shown here: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=81679#p408513 but it doesn't work perfectly, sometimes webpages do not load, video games do not start. Now I have: dhcp for LAN br...

Re: simple 2 WAN failover

hi it's me again! I think bingo220's version almost worked. I renamed both my PPPoE connections as PPPoE1 and PPPoe2 to match the code and typed everything like bingo220 posted. When I was on pppoe1 everything wokred perfectly. Then I turned pppoe1 off in Interfaces and router switched to pppoe2. We...

Re: simple 2 WAN failover

If you have setup mangle correctly
Never heard of it.
I just wanted a router for failoever. I was choosing between tp link470+ and some used linksys with tomato firmware from ebay, but they both were 100mbps, so I went for this.

Re: simple 2 WAN failover

I thought I could use the router without a firewall. I was wrong. Some noobs try to bruteforce my admin password: http://imageshack.com/a/img842/2361/zr00.png So I need a simple firewall to protect the router. I make an address list for LAN: 192.168.88.0/24 Then on filter rules tab I add a rule: Cha...

simplest method http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Two_gateways_failover /ip route add gateway=192.168.1.1 check-gateway=ping /ip route add gateway=192.168.2.1 distance=2 When I type this nothing happens. Both internets are PPPoE and have same username/password. 1st provider h...

Which router should I get?

Hi, MikroTik! I have 2 PPPoE internet connections: 70 mbps static IP and 10 mbps dynamic IP. And I want to make dualWAN for automatic failover. I also need 1 gpbs LAN and a wifi. It's for home use. What model should I buy that satisfies all these requirements? Also I've never used linux, and I hope ...
