Re: How to connect CAP AP to existing router - the easiest way?

I've did a reset without any configuration and then started fresh and everything is working now.

Thanks for the suggestion for using two cables, that way I didn't rely on the wireless network to configure and I could test the internet access.

Thanks for your help :)

Slow ping and packet loss over WIFI to router

Hello, I'm experiencing strange behaviour from my router. The internet speed over wifi is poor, I've tested with cable - no problem. Ping over wifi to the router (192.168.88.1) sometimes is above 1000ms I've tried to ping it locally and it's <1ms response every ping. The router is 5 meters from me b...

Re: When auto updating, Error connection timed out

I had the same problem, it was because of my firewall, I was dropping all connections from unknown sources.

Disable your custom firewall that drops (TCP) and try again.

Re: Random ip block from my router

So it seems the problem was with the router date and /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_timestamps setting on my Linux, after setting
echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_timestamps
everything now works fine, and I also added NTP servers for the clock in the router.

Random ip block from my router

Hello, I'm having some very strange issues with my mikrotik router. I'm web developer, when I'm developing I make lots of requests to our development server. Sometimes (3-4 times today) I can't open the development server but after router restart it opens just fine. The strangest thing is that when ...

Re: Securing home NAS firewall questions

This is my drop rule at the top.
add action=drop chain=input comment="Drop all !authorized_ips" dst-port="" protocol=tcp src-address-list=!authorized_ips src-port=""
But this blocks only TCP packets. Should I block everything?

Troubles updating with the auto update tool

Hello, so a couple of days ago I bought RB951Ui-2HnD, today I decided to configure it and everything just worked without headaches. On the box there was a text saying to update the router version for better experience. First thing after configure was to try to update it, I decided to use the easiest...
