Re: HAP AC

Same behaviour as mine... Only works in channel 1 with 20 Mhz. ROS 6.35.4 with cm2 although i still get strange lock ups in random times.

5ghz works perfectly..

Link Downs

I have a 433GL board with RB52n-M card in 2.4Ghz as an AP. I get a lot of Link Downs (100 per day). What that means?. ROS 6.32.2 but I also tried with 6.34.3 (cm2-package). I also have an identical setup with an extra RB52 in 5Ghz + 2.4 GHz with no link downs.... Is this a hardware problem of the fi...

If i had 2 virtual APs in every AP tagged with different vlan id's and wanted to not "speak" to each other, would this configuration with the split horizon attribute enabled help me to keep the 2 vlans separated? or i must add firewall rules to forbit communications between the vlans? Στάλ...

Re: SXT 2 Transmit power

I am interested at the power level that is "leaving" the antenna.. That must be ~ 16 watts.... right?

SXT 2 Transmit power

Can anyone pls clarify the maximum Transmit power of SXT 2?

As per specs the chip has 32dbm max transmit power and the antenna is 10dbi. So the total max transmit power out of the antenna is 42db=15.85watts?

Am I correct?

Re: public wifi in congested areas

Outdoor. The area I want to cover has about 120m radius (I am only interested to cover only 180 degrees, and the 3 APs are 12m above ground) but it is very congested in 2.4ghz band because it has a lot of cafes with their own WiFi spots. Clients are mobile phones and tablets. Currently we try to cov...

Re: public wifi in congested areas

Does anyone have any tips for the above configuration? Which are the best settings for a Mikrotik AP in a crowed place, open air space? Does Adaptive Noise Immunity setting help? Which is the best value for Disconnect Timeout? Hw. Retries value? Distance setting for 80m radius of coverage? Hw. Prote...
