Re: L009 copper SFPs

IMHO, Mikrotik should offer a dedicated 2.5 Gb/s module as it seems S+RJ10 can't fulfill this task. But it can ! If the other side only uses 2.5Gbps, it will adjust accordingly. I've tested it with RB5009, it works. It's just a big disadvantage that S+RJ10 can only align with the other side and not...

Re: L009 copper SFPs

Having that S+RJ10 and having some troubles between RB5009 and CSS610 (I deliberately wanted to lower speed because of heat issues with that SFP when it runs at full 10Gbps), I learned from support that S+RJ10 can NOT be set to lower speed. It will determine maximum speed based on cable and other e...

Re: L009 copper SFPs

I don't know, info is often confused in this matter, from that thread I understood that the S+RJ10 does work on L009, but only in 2.5 GB forced mode. Hi thanks for the reply. I certainly could not get it to hold link consistently even when I disabled autoneg and set the speed. It does say on the co...

Re: L009 copper SFPs

Thanks - that's the topic I was referring to when I said they were mostly about optical modules. The RJ45 module they mention is the S+RJ10 which also does not work. I've now got the budget Aliexpress one working but only at 2.5Gbe which is great for one use I have for it but less so where the cabli...

L009 copper SFPs

hi All, I hope this isn't a duplicate - I've had a look through and can find people speaking about optical modules not RJ45/copper but please redirect me if this isn't the case! I've recently bought some L009 and RB5009, I'm trying to uplink the L009 to the RB5009 via the 2.5Gbe RJ45 port leaving th...

Re: wAP AC units over POE don't get enough power.

apologies for resurrecting an old thread from 6mo+ ago but did you ever get to the bottom of this? I've recently had a couple of units seemingly go bad too - I thought it was the power supplies so swapped those out for new known good ones, then I thought the cable run was at fault so provided power ...

Re: v6.47.1 [stable] is released!

Hi All, I've just been upgrading a few devices this morning, all looking good on 6.47.1 apart from one. A RB951-2N seems to have lost the menu bar on the left in webfig. Just done a clean netinstall of 6.47.1 and the menu is there initially but after I set anything the next time it's gone. Not a mas...

pppoe_client and vlan access port

Hi All, I'm trying to get my head around whether this is possible or not or if I'm missing the point entirely. I've a RB2011 which I'm using to try and test this out on - eth10 connected to a VDSL modem establishing a pppoe session and allocating an IP by DHCP. I can ping the next hop and if I set t...

Re: v6.14 released

Does this resolve all the bugs reported with CRS and 6.13?

Re: CRS Documentation

I'm suffering the same issues. I even tried the examples and they don't work!
Each new release I hope will fix it but each time I'm let down.

Also see comments in this thread http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=84044 where people lose access after defining vlans in 6.12.

Re: v6.12 released

I was running a 6.12rc and it was working fine. Upgraded to 6.12 release and it hung on reboot, and comes up with all ports disabled. I can login at the serial console but commands like /interface print just hang. Reset-configuration works (eventually) but putting my config back breaks it after a r...

Re: Inter VLAN Routing on RB750GL, RB2011iLS-IN and CRS125-2

What bugs do you mean for the CRS? <br /><br />Also what should be noted that the CRS is mainly a switch, with routing capability. if you intend to use it as a router only, it is not very powerful. For just routing purposes we have other devices.<br/> The bug where the vlans bleed between ports is ...

Re: Banging my head trying to configure Cloud Switch CRS125-

I am having a few CRS125 in production. The only ROS which kind of works for me is 6.6 - anything else causing issues with speed on switched ports (10Mbit/s max) and/or sometimes weird hanging of either ports for (10-20 seconds) ip phones udp connection blend in/out. Just to keep it up and not havi...

CRS125 - spilling vlan traffic?

Hi, I've a number of port based vlans configured much like the diagram in the documentation here http://wiki.mikrotik.com/images/f/fc/Port-Based.png I'm seeing something really odd though, if I sniff traffic on one of the supposedly untagged vlans I see tagged traffic for another vlan? is this even ...

Re: Switching with RouterOS / CRS Questions

I've a very similar problem to the OP - Has anyone got the CRS to work with two trunk ports? I'm trying to create something like: routerX ==trunked vlans== CRS125 ==trunked vlans==RB2011 I've created a master port which is effectively the trunk port and then added bridging of that to another but it ...
