Re: AR95XX advanced channels

you need AR9390 or AR9590 cards for costum channel bandwidth support beside 20/40mhz ... AR9380 and AR9580 do support only 20/40mhz channels ....

beside that you need a routersoftware which supports that too ;)

no mimo was used, only a single radio on a 11n card , the other 2 radios where turned off .... but the sad thing is , the current AR9160 chipset reference design (2nd revision already) may be obsolote very soon , its seems atheros has invented another hardware bug into the current AR9160 chipset ref...

Re: 802.11n when?

well , my point is: 11n is very useable for distance ... me and my partners have successfully setup links with 802.11n cards , just using single radio, turning off the 2x extra radios of the Ar5008 chipset in this case (there are also 2x2 RX/TX version available soon) ... with xscale based board and...

Re: Winstrom DCMA-82 issue?

the dcma-82 need up to 6 watt upon initilialization and under full load. ive seen various older mikrotik routerboard modells gone up in smoke when using these cards ... i think 12V power supply is quite weak, i have been using this cards with RB532 and 18V 1.33A power supply successfully - but to be...

@kthameen my assumption from working with/and selling mikrotik gear for several years now is, that all the userunfriendly interface is 50% buisnessmodell ( spend more cash on education and consulting) and 50% lack of knowledge about design of user interfaces ... the lack of interface design is a pro...

Re: ROS v3.0 and Atheros 5416

the AR5416 802.11n chipset is outdated and doesnt support Radar detect in 5 ghz band which is required for europe. this is a hardware issue, which has lead to the big delays with the release and availability of the XSPAN chipsets during spring/summer last year. in last quarter last year was the AR90...

make sure that your card is capable to support Super G mode .... AR2413 doesnt support 108 mbps , the AR2414 BB MAC card does support 108 mbps ... since the mikrotik software shows always AR2413 also for AR2414 cards dont get confused and check your card and manufacturer datasheet for more informati...

we do have the same problem with gigabyte GN-wi01HT cards ...

1 card works fine with RB153 , but 2 or more and the board crash within 10 minutes ...

the GN-wi01HT uses also AR5006XS chipset like CM10 ...

is it maybe a driver/hardware issue ?

any solutions soon ?
