Re: RouterOS Development (poll): Bug Elimination vs New Feat

IMHO I don't think that this is the right direction in the long long term. Focusing on fixing bugs is something that is mandatory and unquestionable. MT are already trying this. Additionally, they will never lose an edge by de-prioritizing the development of new features. So it is not a matter of si...

Re: v6.11 released

Can you please name a few ? Normis, if this is a bickering then this does not do you any good. If not then again, why ask? You must know all your bugs and not ask you customers to provide the list. It is obvious that you try to deny the existence of some bugs. It is also obvious that your customers...

Re: Feature request Official Bug list

There is a great post by jkarras in the "v6.11 released" thread - http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 40#p417440 - which I think is very much related to this request.

I also support this request.

Re: v6.11 released

Drank, do you have any issues in v6.11? Have you already emailed MikroTik support?
No, since I have not yet upgraded to 6.11. But OK, I will, so that I do not speak without facts. I can always revert to 6.10, right?

Thanks and best regards :)

Re: v6.11 released

This version was running on several hundred volunteer networks for more than a week, before we released it. The bugs that are found here only are apparent in very specific situations, and don't apply to everybody. There is a difference between running a software and testing the software. Testing im...

Re: Feature Request: LCD Customization

OpenVPN is not an easy thing to make properly.
Sure thing but sometimes you have to make the "right" choice not the "easy" one. And I mean the "right" for your customers.

Re: Feature Request: LCD Customization

There is so much more urgent "fixes" to do then your LCD logo. Really? Maybe we should request video player for this LCD? Tetris would be nice too. So unstable and bugged system and they are adding "samba support" or "lcd custimization". Who need lcd? it's not a christ...

Re: v6.11 released

Why 99% of users just simple complain without simpliest help to developers? 1) make all config backup 2) update 3) if have some problems - make supout.rif - reset router - restore config - if (fail restore/or same problem) -> make second supout.rif 4) revert for working 5.xx 6.xx and restore config...

Re: [6.10] Dynamic IPsec policies not deleted after disconne

Hmm, if flushing the SAs gets rid of the policies then is it possible that the issue has something to do with the "Lifetime" setting in Peer (Phase 1)? Mine is set to 1 day.

Re: [6.10] Dynamic IPsec policies not deleted after disconne

Yes, flushing the connections works but only when the connections are still active. When the client disconnects, the connections are gone but the policies are still there.

[6.10] Dynamic IPsec policies not deleted after disconnect

Hi, I don't know if this is a bug or the way it is supposed to work (I'm still new to MikroTik) but after L2TP/IPsec client disconnects, the dynamic IPsec policy is not deleted by the router. It remains present in the Policies list and cannot be deleted even manually. The only way to clean the list ...

Difference b/w "AP" and "Home AP" in Quick Set

Hi, I searched everywhere (the wiki, the forum, google) but could not find any info on the meaning and the differences between the AP, CPE, Home AP, and PTP Bridge options in the Quick Set screen. Can anyone explain their meaning and especially what is the difference in functionality between AP and ...

New RB951G-2HnD says "up to date" but version is 5.26

Hi,

I just bought a new RB951G-2HnD. It came with v5.26 installed and when I check for updates from within winbox it says that the system is up to date. Why does it not recognize that there is the v6.10?

thank you
