Re: Useful scripts

HI! I am looking for a way to get the router to act when a certain LAN client (ip address) sends a packet to a certain WAN address. The action would be a webhook. What would be the most effective way to setup something like this? Can anyone point me to the right direction, please? Would I have to u...

Re: Problem with DHCP over BCP bridging

I was having the same problem as above, DHCP leases were being offered to clients at the remote end of the BCP link but the client never received the offer. In my scenario I was adding BCP tunnels to an existing site. I fixed it by changing the existing IP address assignment for the physical LAN por...

Re: Wireless repeater between 2 units?

Finally got back to this set up this week, just wanted to thank pukkita for the set up info, it works great and does exactly what I need it to. Thanks for your input.

Re: Wireless repeater between 2 units?

That looks great pukkita, thank you. Much simpler than the setup I was trying to figure out.

Will DHCP pass over the link from the existing network with that setup?

Wireless repeater between 2 units?

I have a scenario where I need to pick up an existing (non Mikrotik) 802.11 AC signal and retransmit it inside a metal boat so that users in the (static) boat can use the site wireless. My current thinking is to use an SXT AC externally, linked to a HAP lite internally via ethernet cable. My questio...

Re: UK 4G Support

The Alcatel isn't on the compatibility list http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware.

I've ordered a Huawei e3272 to try in a Mikrotik 750UP. I'll be using an EE SIM. Will let you know how I get on.

Re: Stateful firewall - Allow new external connections in

Tried those changes, Rudios. No change. I've tried disabling all drop rules, specifically allowing UDP from the SIP provider, turned the SIP helper off (and on) and various other things. Nothing seems to get them through. I'm going to do some more reading but would be grateful for any other suggesti...

Re: Stateful firewall - Allow new external connections in

Thanks Rudios,

Just tried both of those without any success.

The weird thing is I can see the packet counts going up on both of my rules but the traffic doesn't seem to get through.

Stateful firewall - Allow new external connections in

I've set up a basic firewall as per Steve Discher's book but am struggling to get it to do a simple port redirection from an external source (in this case, UDP 5060 for SIP traffic) Current firewall config is below. I've left in a couple of the additional rules that I've put in there to get it worki...
