Re: RB1100AHx2

Yes it does sound like that. I have tried RB with static IP and testing different DNS servers in the DNS settings (Google, ISP, Opendns). Have also tried obtaining WAN by DHCP (RB as client) where it would obtain the modem's and ISP DNS. All similar results. Should add to that that we now run the ne...

RB1100AHx2 unstable and makes no sense behaviour

We have been running a RB1100AHx2 on our network without problems for a year now. The domain network has about 60 client PC's with static IP's, runs a `Server 2012 Domain Controller, DHCP Server, DNS Server. A 10 Mbit fiber optic line is connected to the modem/router that NAT's the public IP to 192....

Re: Struggling with L2TP/IPSec setup

I think you may need to start by allowing traffic from your vpn-pool into the remote LAN. Thank you mikez. Could you point me a bit further on how/where to do that? My network uses mostly static clients in the range from 192.168.5.10-192.168.5.200. I have a DHCP pool for guests/laptops from 192.168...

I think this can be achieved in 3 ways: 1. Setup a VPN server on the Mikrotik router and run the RDP connection over it 2. Setup...

Re: Setup bandwidth PCQ per address pool doesn't work proper

I think I found the culprit. I reordered to mangle all new connection names first and then name the packets for each defined user group. Works like a charm although I can't understand the logic behind it yet.

Setup bandwidth PCQ per address pool doesn't work properly

Hi Guys, I'm new and learning to set up RB1100. I have followed this guide http://mum.mikrotik.com/presentations/US09/megis_qos.pdf to setup several user groups in our network. I want to apply 3 different down/upload PCQ combinations. Servers, Superusers, Devices will be unlimited. Users, DHCP, Acce...
