Re: RB2011UiAS - slows down to 1% of normal speed??

Not sure what you mean by "check the duplex". I verified that I am running full duplex on all interfaces involved. What else is there to check? I am really getting frustrated with this product. I have had less trouble with a cheap consumer-grade router but I really want to make this work. ...

RB2011UiAS - slows down to 1% of normal speed??

This is the second time this has happened. The last time, I just shut it off and used a different router for a few months. I decided to re-activate the RB2011 and see what I could do and it just seemed to work great. Well about a week later, the same thing has happened. My bandwidth has slowed to ab...

RB2011: Thought there was an outage but my router is slow?

Here's my current setup: http://perpetualjon.com/files/network34.jpg So my Internet connection started getting slow. At times it wouldn't work at all. I looked to see if there were any outages with Timewarner (my ISP) but there were none. Over the next few days, the problem persisted so I temporaril...

Re: Routerboard 1100 / Ubiquiti AP combination not working??

I'm running a RB2011 with 3 UAP-AC's and a UAP-AC-Outdoor without problems too. One is connected to the RB2011, the others through some 'dumb' Gigabit switches. But if you say you have not touched the RB2011 configuration, your issue may be there. I have no clue what it does by default... I just er...

Re: Routerboard 1100 / Ubiquiti AP combination not working??

Honestly, I'm very new to RouterOS. I have made not one change from the out-of-the-box configuration. Are there some basic setup steps I need to perform that I'm missing here? I have assumed that the default configuration of this router was at least good enough to plug and go (and, beyond this probl...

Re: Routerboard 1100 / Ubiquiti AP combination not working??

Try connecting the UniFi to one of the RB2011 ports (within the same switch group as ETH2) and see if it works well. If it does, then I believe the problem could be the configuration on your ProCurve.
I actually already tried that with no change...

Re: Routerboard 1100 / Ubiquiti AP combination not working??

The APs should work from your switch too if it's properly configured to allow full traffic flow between them and your RB. Maybe that's the problem. Does that need to be configured? I'm running my WAN through ETH1 and connected my switch through ETH2. All my PC's are running great this way but maybe...

Re: Routerboard 1100 / Ubiquiti AP combination not working??

Is there some sort of configuration I need to perform for these devices? Setting up VLAN, etc or should they simply connect and go? Do I have to connect them to one of the ports on the router? I'd much rather keep things simple and just attach devices through my switch.

Routerboard 1100 / Ubiquiti AP combination not working??

(my test setup) http://perpetualjon.com/files/unifi01.jpg I'm trying to run a Mikrotik Routerboard attached to an HP ProCurve gigabit switch. From there I plan on attaching multiple Ubiquiti Unifi AP's. In testing, I found that the AP's were running incredibly slow (if at all). I determined that the...

Re: Load Balancing Between Consumer and Commercial Connectio

For instance, I am supporting a building that has around 150 people. There is a VOIP PBX phone system, and plenty of Internet usage. There is a 6MB commercial Internet circuit connecting the building to the outside world right now so, as you can imagine, it is terribly inadequate for the job. We are...

Load Balancing Between Consumer and Commercial Connections?

I am new to MikroTik hardware but think I'm on the right direction. Just started supporting more commercial businesses and they are using T1's and related business-class Internet connections for both their employee web browsing as well as phone connections. I would like to augment their rather slow ...
