Connect two 3G modems simoultaneously

Can someone please help me with the configuration of the second ppp connection? I have two 3g modems connected: /system resource usb print # DEVICE VENDOR NAME SPEED 0 1:1 Linux 3.3.5 ehci_hcd RB400 EHCI 480 Mbps 1 1:2 USB2.0 Hub 480 Mbps 2 1:3 HUAWEI Technology HUAWEI Mobile 480 Mbps 3 1:4 ZTE,Inco...

Re: Point to Internal DNS server

How did you set that last part up? I also have the CCR doing NAT to redirect any stray DNS requests back to the .5 box. This is how I redirect all DNS requests to the mikrotik router so the client uses the mikrotik DNS insted of some manually entered DNS on the client's device: /ip firewall nat add...

Create 2 virtual interfaces in metarouter and bridge them to ether1, create 2 meta routers and add vif1 to mr1 and vif2 to mr2. Create another 2 virtual interfaces and assign vif3 to mr1 and vif4 to mr2 in mr1: add to ether1(vif1) ip 10.10.10.104 with desired mac add to ether2(vif3) ip 192.168.10.1/...

Strange behaviour

I noticed that I did not have internet on wireless so I started to investigate, devices got DHCP lease when connected to wireless but did not respond to ping from router or from device to router. After checking the config, disabled/enabled wlan interface, removed/added to bridge, set ip to wlan inte...

Re: can we redirect pppoe users to a pre-defined url or web

Here's how I would do it: Add a filter that adds the IP trying to access port 80 for the first time to an Advertisment list: #Replace 192.168.99.0/24 with subnet that covers PPPOE client pool or regular client subnet it applies to everyone #Address list timeout is the time for witch the client will ...

You can try 1:1 mapping to the client's fixed private address:

Re: Need help with forcing DNS with PCC setup

You have to add this in mangle rules :
/ip firewall mangle
add chain=prerouting dst-port=53 protocol=udp place-before=0
add chain=prerouting dst-port=53 protocol=tcp place-before=0
All DNS traffic should be redirected to 192.168.88.1.

Re: Subnet and Routing

The static rule is not correct, is says if traffic wants to get to subnet 192.168.1.0/24, send it to ip 192.168.20.1 but this ip is not part of that subnet and being on the same device it clearly does not have another route to use, anyway... The mikrotik creates the rules for you, you should have di...

Re: VPN PPTP

When setting a variable, don't use the $ in front of it. Remove these and see if it works... :set $ lunaclient [:pick [ppp secret get $i comment] 0 2]; :set $ username [ppp secret get $i name]; :set $ password [ppp secret get $i password]; On a practical note, you could simplify the code by using :...

Re: Xbox360 NATing imposible on RB750UP with V6.22

Ok, first you have to open the router's page by writing the ip address of the router in the address bar of your browser, I assume it's 192.168.1.1, you can find it by looking at what gateway any device gets from dhcp. Then click on WInbox and a program will download, after that fill the connect to w...

From terminal with: /interface wireless registration-table pr Or login via winbox or web and in the quick set tab you have a wireless clients section with nice little signal lines or go to wireless->registration table and you see a list of the clients and the signal in dBm and other usefull stuff.

Of course, add a new simple queue rule with source adress being a subnet that covers pppoe pool with unlimited settings at first, /queue simple add target=192.168.99.0/24 then add a new traffic monitor rule for the Wan and set the limit above you would like the magic to happen, and add some code to ...

Re: Access to local web server by its dns name

Well you can try to add a DNS rule in the router's DNS Static rules with: /ip dns static add address=192.168.0.2 name=www.example.com This way if your computer has the router's IP in the DNS section of your computer's network configuration, and nothing else, when you will type http://www.example.com...

Well the forwarding seems ok but I don't understand why you have 2 masquerade rules? Do you have 2 ISP connections, one on interface UniFi-Internet and one on ether1-gateway? if not, remove the one that is not valid, you should also remove the to-addresses=0.0.0.0 from rule 0, I don't see it's usefu...
