our first test on real link. Distance about 240m , perfect LOS without particular aim.

We using traffic generator for check bandwidth and latency. Test using tcp packet of 1500.

Just put the dst host dst port and protocol into walled garden ip list. I think thats it!

Do you have address pools configured on the Hotspot profiles, or the Hotspot user profiles? If so you're poison ARPing the network. Change the address pools to 'none', and try again. Yes , i do that. I think that the 3th is the correct one. But i check inside firewall of RB1100 and the only rules are about hot-spot. see the image , when routing go to 10%-15% of cpu , connection stop .

Ros 5.0RC5 on x86 Atom dual-core , 2Gb ram , hd 70Gb , about 70/80 connection with hotspot login and 4/5 PPPoe clients .

yesterday , we have downgrade a cpe ( rb133c) to 2.9.50 and no probs with ip , so the ip lost is a bug !!!

But , carefully , the downgrade lost the configuration. If you have a remote router , you lost the connection !!!

Today , i have connect a client with osbridge to a new BTS at 5ghz with xr5 .

Identical problem. Random disconnection , lost pinging .

Perfect LOS , signal up to -48 .

Hello Brasil, I always recommend leaving the Tx power setting to default. If you decide to change it, just remember that the Xr5 has a 10dB power offset. OSbridge have a problem with PPPoE ...they mess with the mac of the pppoe server . Yet another thing to throw in the bin

but we don't use PPPoE , the osbridge is configured as bridge ( trasparent ) .

For two reason:
- the simpliest: there's lower noise on 5800 than 5500;
Why ? No other 5ghz equipment in area ( lab test )
- your antenna is not correctly adapted to 5500.
We have tested without antenna , on lab.

the only difference with 2 bts is the enclosure. One is in plastic , one in alluminium .


Now , I test a SR5 with RB532 and the noise floor is -95 ( no other wireless net in area ) . Why is low ? .

I'm frustrated :-( I install the new bts with sr2 , but no change !!! Same antenna , same cable , same position : with a stupid linksys , my client connect fine ( also client distant 3/4 km .. ) , with a rb112 and 1 sr2 nothing. I test also a 50m from antenna : linksys ping 3 ms , sr2 ping 100/240ms...

Boro , actually the card we use is a Zcom 622h b/g. Work fine and better then Senao . Have 23 db of max power , more sensibility. We have a station with this card ,with -123 noise floor !!! With Senao 8602 Plus ( FCC ) in identical site we have -91 noise floor !!! Bye p.s. we test the sr2 today ....

Less noise is always better, so a low noise floor is better than a high one...

So , every senao have a consumption of 1.3A . At 12v the cosumption is out of range .... Senao and all other mPCI is 3.3V, NOT 12V. if you use the card with routerboard , do you have a proper powersupply ? under heavy load is this card is sucking up to 1500mA
We use a passive POE at 48V ( original equipment from mikrotik ) . But , we have change the antenna , from omni to panel , and now work fine .

We have a lot of problem , in B/G mixed mode , no connect to other client , only in B or in G work , but pinging directly the wireless card the time is non accettable ( random 5- to 145 ms .. )
