@mikrotik: SwOs 2.0 released (on hardware 2.0)

@mikrotik: SwOs 2.0 released (on hardware 2.0) Does that mean that v1 hardware will no longer be supported and v1 software bug-fixed? (that's a bummer, cos i have more then 50 of them) And while, ok, screw the RSTP, it probably is not within the specs of v1 hardware anyway. I also said bye bye to a ...

Re: Web interface Loading....

i just thought to react.. I've never encountered the problem lots of people are describing. I unpack, connect, upgrade, configure, deploy. about POE: I used to have one poe problem on remote location. The poe was running 3 UBNT dishes (pbe400) and sometimes would switch it off. Now im using UBNT inj...

Re: RB260GSP ready for prime time?

I'm also facing issues, just like others here, with the RB260GSP. I cannot log in to them. I've reset them and cleared my browser cache. When I navigate to the login page, it just says "Loading..." nothing else. Wish we could know how soon this will be resolved. See attached image. rb260g...

Re: RB260GSP ready for prime time?

I also see problems with my RB260GSP, powered by factory adapter. SWOS 1.17 I don't believe I have issues on the PoE side (three wireless AP) but I do see 14-18 ms ping and 1-5% dropped packets and time from PC directly connected to the RB260GSP. I get a consistent 0% dropped, 0-1 ms ping time from...

@mikrotik: SwOs revived after 2(!) years, but... (aka featureFIX...)

Thanks for doing some work on SwOS! Its great that it continues. Im not even gonna call it feature request as these features are more like "what kind of HW does not have that" Please, folks think about these, its nothing what switch doesn't report in web gui already! Port labels over snmp ...

Re: POE Issuses with the RB260GSP

i would check the "Port1 PoE In Long Cable" option on system tab. What is the status of the port? I use them for POE a lot, daisy chaining them, running them both from poe and from PSU, powering various devices and there are glitches occasionally. Like if u connect 4 POE Ubiquiti NanoBeams...

Re: SwOS version 1.17 on RG260GS BUG: wrong port alias/name over snmp

HI! Unfortunately i dont think its a bug:( Its the coder which didnt replace some part of code somewhere. The port names u get from snmp are probably hardcoded. :( FFS mikrotik! Its literally few lines of code, 10 minutes at the most! U know what is to have 40 of them in the network and not be able ...

feature request - arp tables via snmp

It would be very helpful to have arp tables readable with snmp for monitoring purposes.

i like the RB260GS(P), use them a lot

Re: Feature Request - DHCP

I have the same problem but since I use mikrotik products, nobody from their team realy cares to add features that most of us need them. They have no support on forum. SwOs looks like the Dude, dead.
unfortunately, you are right..

+1 on the feature

Re: RB260GS - SNMP v2c - HC counters

Please implement snmp v2c and 64-bit counters on the RB260GS.

These are gigabit ports and 32-bit counters can get quickly overrun under high traffic.

Re: Port Labels

Totally agree on labels (and being able to read them via snmp), i think its just about the time for it. No new releases of swos for a year.

I mean come on, how many lines of code is it?

Or at least release it under GPL

Re: RB260GS X CISCO ws 3550-12g no link on gigabit

i have a response from mikrotik support, and even answer for my question about them releasing the SWos as opensource. Hello, Currently gigabit link from RB260 to Cisco 3550 does not work in any conditions. We are aware of this compatibility problem, it is very specific to Cisco 3550 and it is planne...

RB260GS X CISCO ws 3550-12g no link on gigabit

(greetings) I have a following issue. I'd just like to know, if anybody has the same or similar experience. The RB260GS (swos v 1.12) and the above mentioned cisco (ws 3550-12g) don’t link on gigabit copper. They would link on 100mbit. But on gig not even a single LED flash. Tried combinations of al...
