Re: Bug in 2.0 -- tagged management IP

Mikrotik support has replied to my email:

"We have found the problem and are working on a fix."

Re: Bug in 2.0 -- tagged management IP

Any response from Mik ? I'm not sure anybody actually complained to Mikrotik. Can you please write to support@ ? And, by the way, there is absolutely no need to post the same message in multiple topics. I did write, no response ... I made a mistake then deleted the post on the other topic quite soo...

Re: Dude Server 6.35 ping problem

I have the same problem, may I know if it has been fixed?

The strange thing is that it showed up suddenly without any action from our side !!

Re: Newsletter 71

Normis, could you tell us what is the distance between the two brackets behind the LHG?
Maybe we can recycle the Ubi-bracket in order to tilt the antenna but we should know if the "minipole" is long enough to tight the two LHG brackets.

This is the Ubi-Bracket:

Re: Newsletter 71

LGH 5 maybe very cheap but is really of no use to us when you cannot adjust vertical axis and I cannot believe its held onto a mast with 2 jubilee clips? To be honest, LHG is made as simple and lightweight as possible, to keep the cost affordable for everyone. We also have DynaDish and QRT that hav...

Re: NAT connections missed

The difference between having state new ticked or not is if ticked, only the first packet sent by the internal customer will be logged; the rest of packets traversing that connection will have states related or established so won't be matched nor logged. This is clear. What surprise me is that if I...

Re: NAT connections missed

I would think that logging action on the NAT rule would be the best place - the NAT rule naturally only happens whenever a new connection is made, and must be triggered once for each new connection, so give that a shot to see how it works for you. I did. If you enable the log action in srcnat rule,...

Re: NAT connections missed

Thank you for your help. I spent all the afternoon looking at the logs trying to find the problem . I can confirm that mangle or filter is the same, I get exactly the same log entries. I even tried to enable the log on NAT rules, the entries were the same. At the end, I removed the check on connecti...

Re: NAT connections missed

Maybe I have found the problem.
Should the log action be set in /ip firewall filter instead of /ip firewall mangle?

Re: NAT connections missed

As far as I know Traffic Flow is for statistics, right? How can I use that for logs Traffic flow sends a summary of network traffic, it includes source and destination ips, even nat details. Ok, but I do not think this is the solution. There must be another way to collect only the connections ! Are...

Re: NAT connections missed

Drop connection-state=invalid in the firewall chain forward. NAT works only with connections, if connection tracking entry is not there for particular packet NAT doesn't apply, it is been like this since RouterOS v2.9.x I have that rule but the point is not that. I'm sure that the connection was ok...

Re: NAT connections missed

We do not use fasttrack, at least we have no rules set as action=fasttrack .... The masquerading is like: /ip firewall nat add action=src-nat chain=srcnat comment="srcnat Users" out-interface=ether4 src-address=private_subnetA/24 to-addresses=public_ipA add action=src-nat chain=srcnat comm...

NAT connections missed

Hi guys, we are a little WISP in Italy, we need to log all traffic, we do with this script: /system logging action set 3 bsd-syslog=yes remote=192.168.13.2 src-address=192.168.13.1 add bsd-syslog=yes name=SendToSyslog remote=192.168.13.2 src-address=192.168.13.1 syslog-facility=local1 target=remote ...

Limit per client and per services

I have my border router which limit the client's traffic using a PCQ queue regardless of type of services. Now I want to implement a sort of QoS mainly because I need to slow down the P2P traffic. By means of mangle rules, now I am able to classify and mark the traffic (http, ftp, gaming and P2P ......

Hidden NAT on HotSpot !

Dear guys, I setup a wireless hotspot for free wifi, all with mikrotik routerboards. Basically, all the clients, thru a vlan, reach the main router (RB2011) where the hotspot is running. A DHCP server assigns the internal ip address and then NAT them with a public IP address. What happens is that, d...
