Re: new hardware Wireless Wire nRAY 60 ghz

I saw this link this morning for it: https://mt.lv/WWnRAY I'm excited about the complete assembly and aiming mount. It appears to be an attractive size, but seems long. Most of our situations where we install these will be on the sides of buildings, so the larger the distance from the wall, the mor...

Re: new hardware Wireless Wire nRAY 60 ghz

I wonder can an nRay talk to an LHG60?
The reason I ask is I have spare LHG 60s ( I generally like to have at least one spare of any radio on the shelf)
I Guess I'll find out soon as I have ordered a pair to try!

OSPF - one way neighbor

Recently added OSPF to a new router in my network Ospf appears to be only seeing the neighbor on one side of a link, but not the other Two nodes involved, the "stub" router isn't seeing the "core", but the core is seeing the stub. Areas are correct, it's the same with or without ...

2 IP ranges 2 gateways 1 port - how to?

Hi All,

I have two sets of IP public IP addresses each set has a different gateway. They are presented on a single port by the ISP.
Any suggestions as to the best way to implement these on my Router?
Thanks

Andy

Re: 1100AHx2 ping times slowing

Looking at the graph it looks suspiciously like the port was only running at 100Mb! I di dlog into theradio, as I suspected that was at fault first, but the LAN ports on the radio link saying were fine at 1Gb, however, I didnt think to look at the Mikrotik ports, I just rebooted therouter. It hasnt ...

1100AHx2 ping times slowing

Hi All, I have an 1100AHx2 which is routing traffic for a WISP network. it is running FW3.24, processor load is peaking at 22%, average around 10% The network is entirely routed, no bridged ports, separate IP address for each port. Traffic is typically 250Mbps via a short 1kM link from our head end,...

Re: How to export and keep a log of connection IP pairs

Calea looks to me like it is meant as a tool to actually intercept the content as well as the IP addresses etc.

NFDump looks promising and qute descriptive (from the NfSen project):

http://nfdump.sourceforge.net/

Anyone experimented with it?

forgot to add we use a CCR 1016 router - Thinking about it, I'd say the relationship to the MAC address is probably not really necessary.

Re: How to export and keep a log of connection IP pairs

Thanks guys, no don't work for the NSA! We run a small WISP, but it is starting to look like it is going to be necessary here in Europe to be able to show the relevant authorities who connected to what IP address if (and only if) we recieve a court order to do so. Just trying to figure out the easie...

How to export and keep a log of connection IP pairs

Hi all, I'm sure this has been tackled before, but I cant find an answer searching the forum (probably using wrong keywords!) What I want to do is export and keep a record of all IP paired conections, like the log in IP>Firewall>connections. Ideally, (but this is not imperative), I'd like to also in...

Hardware to run QoS

Hi All We run a small WISP with around 300 clients I've had a look around the forum trying to figure the best way to run a QoS script such as Butch Evans'. I'm aware that this places a heavy load on the processor, and I'm trying to figure out if a faster single (or dual) processor such as an x86 boa...

Switch groups in a CC 1016-12G

Hi All, We are upgrading a router from an RB2011L to a Cloud Core 1016-12G We plan to copy the config (manually) from one to the other and check there are no problems, before starting to do anything differently, so as to minimise any potential downtime to end users. We're currently using both switch...
