Maybe check the MTU if small packets can be sent through, but large amount of data can't? Most cellular connections that I have used have MTU smaller than 1500. Really helpful thanks. I don't see why BOTH approaches cannot be tested. In the script, if LTE cannot be found, try resetting USB. If after - say - 120 seconds the LTE still cannot be found, then, and only then, reboot the router. If It works, It works, and if It doesn't It goes through the full reboot. 120 seconds Is on...

Not really a concern.. if it goes into a loop it will be because the LTE card isn't working and if that's the case the unit is no good to us and its a swap out anyway

Hey Sabastia,

Now why would i want to ship you some English beer when you have the best beers locally...:-) Maybe a cash donation would suffice to get some local amber nectar...

Thanks for the heads up, I'll see if i can work out if thats the problem but i may be back for more pointers.

Thanks

@Anav, I dont understand why you think the config is confusing.I'm obviously no guru at this or it would be working correctly but looking at the config myself i think its easy to follow. I am not a network engineer and to be fair dont want to be either. I appreciate there is an element of self help ...

DNS setting via DHCP being ingnored on Vlan

Hi, We run two Lans on our router, a Vlan ( for public WiFi use ) and Management LAN ( for our hardware ) with no Vlan Tag. Each LAN has its own DHCP scope which uses different subnets. Within the DHCP settings for each LAN we use a different DNS Server. The tagged Vlan uses a DNS address for a web ...

Hi, We have two identical RB922 boards with Huawei LTE Modems. Earlier this week we upgraded both to the latest firmware 6.42.6. Following the upgrade neither boards will connect to the internet via the LTE interface. I have noticed on both that the "R" is missing when running /interface l...

you could try using winbox and enter the mac address manually rather than using the "neighbor" feature. I have done that in the past and it worked for me. You may need to connect the RB direct to the computer running WinBox via Ethernet though. Failing that, check to see if you get a defau...

Hi, I have a RB922 which uses R11e modem to connect to the internet. The board also supplies power to a RPI via the USB port and internet connectivity via Ethernet. Hi, We use RB922 boards as a cellular router, we normally use a HUAWEI ME909U-521P 4G card but our supplier has recently started to stock the Mikrotik R11e-LTE cards which are cheaper. We have purchased a few LTE cards, installed them onto our RB922 boards and restored our std confirg... thats where...

Thanks @sob Looking at the RB922 spec it states it has a 128Mb of NAND Ram / Storage, is that the same as FLASH Ram ?? if so looks like it could support a VM instance via MetaRouter. Ah Ok then... unfortunately that doesn't help as its means the bigger kit needs to go client end which in my case could be a street light and would therefore be to big. Guess i'll have to wait until different hardware is developed.

Hi,
We are looking for a way to bond together multiple VSL (fttc) connections. Is this possible with a router board.

We have a 1100 series router board that has been used to test a wireless link which is now redundant, would that work?

Many Thanks
