Re: Question on Ethernet Bypass Mode, RB1100

You can take a look at this: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=106092 AFAIK, it only gets activated on power failure. Unfortunately it does not when it freezes, not even after soft shutdown! During boot and reboot, you can hear the relays clicking "open"-"close" during th...

RB1100 Bypass Ports: Application Example

Hi, The Mikrotik community is so active that I could hardly believe that I would have something to add to its knowledge base. When searching for material on the RB1100 Ethernet Bypass functionality I noticed that there are relatively few references on it. Ethernet Bypass is a functionality present i...

Re: Netinstall Error: Bad Client Address

You made my day! Thanks
I already have spent many hours but I would probably lose even more!
Patience on network identification and Netinstall restart, were both my key points!

Cannot connect to Router via alternative routing table

Can I match a packet to a firewall rule (in postrouting chain) by nexthop?

Hi, In /ip route I have primary and secondary routes via alternate ISPs. SrcAddressList A -> ISP 1 distance=1 SrcAddressList A -> ISP 2 distance=2 SrcAddressList B -> ISP 2 distance=1 SrcAddressList B -> ISP 1 distance=2 So Nexthop changes according to the availability of the provider. Suppose I hav...

Re: "no-mark" as default mark to all connections and traffic

Wouldn't routing-mark=main be useable in your setup?
Yes you are right! This is equivalent to "no-mark" of connection & packet marks!
I can't hide that this is my first complex setup!
Thank you!

Re: "no-mark" as default mark to all connections and traffic

Very useful and it significantly reduces complexity :) . I just came across the need for a default routing-mark=no-mark as well which is not implemented as of now (v6.28) :(

Re: New product CRS 109

The switch chip type is quite different. RB2011 doesn't support so many swich specific functions as the CRS series. While switching is just an extra feature on the RouterBOARD models, it is the main function on the CRS models, and has a lot of functionality there. 1st time poster here! I'd like to ...
